DL (Janet Reno)I'm going with DL, who by year's end will be near 2014-levels of production IMO.
-
DL (Janet Reno)Thinking about where to vote in the poll made me very, very depressed.
-
QB (Janet Reno)Quarterback
The QB play will shock everyone but something else will go horrible wrong.

This. I want to like the young DL, but none of those guys have proven anything. Mathis had a nice sack against Oregon State. Qualls has made a couple plays, and Dissly had the goal line stop in garbage time. I'm still scarred by how the DL played against UCLA without Kikaha. And that was with Shelton.whatshouldicareabout said:Thinking about where to vote in the poll made me very, very depressed.

Making the poll was pretty sobering.whatshouldicareabout said:Thinking about where to vote in the poll made me very, very depressed.

Scout team QB

ST (Janet Reno)I don't think we have one position group that is top 5 in the conference. Maybe TE, but who gives a shit about TE. Sobering thought.
-
QB (Janet Reno)Long snapper.
-
QB (Janet Reno)Too much sober talk
-
OL (Janet Reno)It can't get any worse.
-
DL (Janet Reno)White RB
-
OL (Janet Reno)Don't worry! Everything will be fine. plenty of experience.

DL (Janet Reno)To follow up to my original post, I do like some players in the various position groups, but the issue of depth is what prevents me from voting for any.
I like Qualls/Mathis/Dissly, but what about after them? Jaylen Johnson and Vita Vea and Greg Gaines haven't played yet, and those who will rotate this year haven't done much yet.
Jones MMXV is probably the most underrated Husky, not only nationally but on this board too, and gives us a great counter to the best WRs in the conference, but what about CB #2-5? Honestly, after watching what we saw last year, I think Joyner will play, if not be CB #3 or even #2 (though Gardenhire impressed this spring).
Safety mirrors CB with Baker as the headliner, but who's after that? Clay? Beaver? Walker? McIntosh? Turner? I can't say for sure.
LB has Feeney and Bierria who've started numerous games, and Victor seems to have passed Lawyer at MLB, but the depth at the position is a major concern when you have a freshman walk-on (Jake Wambaugh) ahead of a few scholarship players in the 2-deeps.
I can't vote for the offense at this point, but unless we switch to a triple-option with Lindquist at QB, Coleman at FB, Washington at HB, 2 TEs and a 200lb WR, then maybe I'll change my mind... -
TE (Janet Reno)I like to say Ajamu. It sounds funny. It makes me giggle.
-
ST (Janet Reno)Maybe it's just last year's improvement over the Nansen-dreckfest, but Special Teams is the one area that doesn't concern me. Just hope for no obvious fake punt attempts.

TE (Janet Reno)
I think its far and away TE. Which sucks, I mean who the fuck hangs their hat on their group of TEs?RoadDawg55 said:I don't think we have one position group that is top 5 in the conference. Maybe TE, but who gives a shit about TE. Sobering thought.

The best thing about that gif is how you can tell Kevin King is just going all out at all times physically...haie said: -
CB (Janet Reno)Voted CB but really thinking secondary. Sidney and Buttah will lead a young and talented group.
-
DL (Janet Reno)Only 28 votes, dang forum really dies in the off season huh
-
ST (Janet Reno)Special teams will be decent.
Too bad Ross got hurt, otherwise would have top 3 special teams in the conference. -

Still can't believe they lost to Okie Statehaie said:

I can. Cyler Miles was our QB in that game.TommySQC said: -

Ross is a hell of a returner, but I am looking forward to seeing what Budda and Chico can do.HeretoBeatmyChest said:Special teams will be decent.
