Kent Griswold locks Fink Vs. Eason thread

Here's Kent's quote defending Eason:
"Like I said, the staff has a responsibility to correct things that are being said that aren't true, especially about recruits.
Consider yourself corrected."
Kent then promptly locks the thread so no one can respond.

sounds like it's getting crazy over there

Kent has dug himself a hole on this Eason thing. I think he sees it as his last chance to prop up Sark and put down Petersen. The problem is, he's presented the situation in several different ways, and he's so stupid that he can't even tell a lie well:
A) Eason and his "camp" were annoyed the Petersen waited to actually watch him throw a football before offering him a scholarship so he committed to Georgia.
This scenario makes Eason come off like a Bieber-like petulant child who has a posse following him around making decisions for him and got mad at Petersen because he didn't get enough attention. Hence, Kent has to start attacking posters because Petersen comes out looking good in this situation and the player, not so goodEason committed to Georgia because they made him an offer that they wouldn't take another QB in the 2015 class, making it very likely that Eason would come in and start right away
This scenario, which is probably the closest to being correct, does no damage to Petersen so it has been put by the wayside.
C) Eason was set to commit to Sark but then Sark left and the new staff dropped the ball
This scenario, which was pedaled out of the blue a week ago, is completely uncorroborated and makes no sense because Eason doesn't seem to show any interest in USC. You'd think if he loved Sark and staff so much he would at least give them a glance.
If you want to see more hilarious angry Grinolds, go to the thread about Shaq Thompson's draft status. Grinolds claims that in no point in the history of football would a GM draft a kid for a position that's not his #1 choice (Shaq as a RB rather than an OLB). Another poster keeps throwing examples back at Grinolds and he keeps dismissing them as not being the same. You can tell he gets more and more angry each time because he starts throwing in personal attacks like" you really don't understand this" and "there, are we good now or do you want to keep going?" and then at the end, "I do this for a living so I know a little bit about it"

I don't understand why the Fink vs. Eason thing is getting so heated. You never want to lose a big in state recruit, but as prospects go, UW will get good PROSPECTS at the QB position just as we always have. It's up to Petersen to make them work, or he's fired.
Also, It only really hurts hurts when you lose a recruit to a school in the Pac (think Miles Jack licking his fingers while staring down Sark after going in dry repeatedly on national television). And you know who was a can't miss QB? Mariota. And we missed him, but it was cool because Derrick Brown took his spot.
It's not that difficult. Recruits all suck until the coaches make them not suck. -

Did anyone bring up JR Sweezy as an example of someone who was drafted for a different position?
Or were they good and not want to keep going? -
Jake Locker was Drafted for Quarterback when everyone knows he's an outfielder.
-
Are we good now or do you want to keep going? is actually very Fettersesque.

Someone last week, I want to say Mel Kuyper, mentioned how he would've been better safety.Doogles said:Jake Locker was Drafted for Quarterback when everyone knows he's an outfielder.

That's why he had Locker #1 overall on his big board for a long time.DerekJohnson said:

Kiper had Locker #1 and Mcshay had him #2. The guy they flip flopped him for was this dude named Andrew Luck.DerekJohnson said:

Sweezy was the first name brought up. Kim's response:MelloDawg said:Did anyone bring up JR Sweezy as an example of someone who was drafted for a different position?
Or were they good and not want to keep going?
"So you're going to equate Shaq to the situation of a 7th round draft pick.......
Do I really need to explain things or are we good?"
Then the poster gave another example. Kim's response:
"Do I need to explain the difference between a 4th round and first round pick?
There's not a GM in the league who will draft Shaq to play RB. But if you'd like to make a wager, I'm in ;-)"
and finally:
"I do this for a living ;-)
I'm still open to the wager "
At this point, someone else said something along the lines of Kim being able to text John Clayton to ask him.
Kim responded with
"Or I got a call saying " who the hell is (original poster's name)?" -
Richardson was selected 45th with the intention of making him a kick returner. In college he had as many combined kickoff returns/punt returns as he did touchdown passes: 1.
The Seahawks also had that college bball player from Bradley about 10/15 years ago. And Antio Gates and Stephen Neal have had solid NFL careers despite not being drafted for their primary positions (power forward and wrestler). -
If you want the full banhammer followed by the staff taking personal shots at you while you can't defend yourself, I would say go for itRaccoonHarry said:If I wasn't banned for life, and I was inclined to post "if you do this for a living why are you so bad at it", would Kim delete that post? This whole argument by KJV is FS
Eason has basically been offered and handed the Georgia QB job - not a bad gig.
At the UW, the QB recruited in the class ahead of him broke every national QB record at the HS level that you could seemingly think of. He will most likely be a 3-4 year starter.
If you were Easin, would you rather run the risk of sitting on the bench for 4 years or go somewhere where you might be the Day 1 starter in the SEC for a top 10-15 team?
It's not really all that shocking. -

This is especially true when you consider the only knock on Browning is his supposed lack of size, meaning he is more likely to stay until his senior campaign a la Kellen Moore.Tequilla said:This whole argument by KJV is FS

Kim just gave me the "do I need to explain it to you or are we good" yesterday. Pissed me off as I had said nothing to him. I quickly proved him wrong twice when he asked "show me that happening one time, just one" I showed him twice and responded "are we good now" I'm not one who gets in to it with people on message boards but he wonders why people have the tone they do over there. It starts with him! I may pull a Costanza and really get myself fired/banned. I bet my buddy he will either respond with the "we talk to people, you don't or There is no use talking to you " then locking the thread because he is butt hurt and proved wrong. I haven't even looked to see if he responded. He really likes the "take my ball and go home" 7 year old tactic. More so than he used to even.

Well I just checked over on that post. I won the bet he responded with the "we do this for a living" I didn't know he was an NFL GM

Kim calls teen boys for a living. He also tries to sniff butts for access and mostly worthless (and often false) tidbits. So I would say his job consists of calling teen boys, spreading false information, and attempting to run the biggest Husky football website into the ground.steelheader2 said:Well I just checked over on that post. When it comes to football knowledge, Kim knows almost nothing and everything he says is parroted from someone who does. He has no ability to watch and form intelligent opinions because he doesn't know the game and has taken no interest in learning it over the years. He would rather be a sycophant to Sark, Barton, Rang, Clayton, Hugh Millen, etc to feel like he is part of their group.
