Run a fucking dive instead of a slant on second down and this question would be retarded. Now...........it's just a stupid question. I'll take a difference maker who touches the ball 25-30 times a game vs almost any defensive player. Offensive individual playmaker>>>>>>>>>>>defensive individual playmaker

I guess you must have missed the BRILLIANT thread where advanced metrics for fucktards PROVED that passing on 2nd and G at the 1 was the right call.
It was still a terrible call, not because it was a pass (debatable) but the direction and movement of the pass.

No play action to marshawn. No Russell rollout off play action for a run/throw look.

Just a bullet into the heart of the defense.

If you have advanced metrics that can tell me the exact type of pass was correct, then present them otherwise shhhh.

Also, NE has the leagues worst goal line defense statistically, so I'm betting the farm on marshawn or a roll out walk in.
Yeah, 20 seconds left and 1 timeout meant they couldn't run the ball 3 times in a row, there wasn't enough time. Throwing once was the smart thing to do from a clock management standpoint. Now, calling a slant into the middle of the defense? I don't think even Sark could outdo that.

Seriously thought NE was going to let Lynch run it in to keep time on the clock for Brady....

Collinsworth was saying the same thing, right before the immaculate interception. It's been almost two weeks, and I still can't get over how stupid that play design was at that moment in the game. At the very least, run a damn play-action. When it's obvious an opponent has a play picked out, at least give them the damn look. They run a playfake, the defender would have most likely bit, and Russell could have thrown it behind the defense to the back of the endzone. And guess what? if it's tight coverage, it probably the ball probably goes throw the uprights out of bounds.

The Hawks chose to run the clock down to 20-25 seconds when they took the snap which meant that they had to throw the ball once.

They didn't HAVE to do that.
I can't argue with that, but that's a different argument. I'm just simply saying that with 20 seconds left and 1 timeout, you can't run it 3 times.

Carroll was playing clock management chicken with Belichick .. Belichick called the bluff and won.

I would roll the dice Lynch has one more year in him.

That fucker is the spark plug that gets the offense going.

How many times did we see the offense plodding along and then Lynch kicks in a huge run and it just all starts rolling.

This. Lynch is a huge fucking reason that team won we games and made the SB. Turbin and Michael aren't bad but they do not come close to replacing what Lynch means to that team. Personally, I hope Lynch retires.

He's not retiring. That's a bullshit media story where they take everything at face value to create a story. He's already scheduled to make $8.5 million for next year and the Seahawks have said they will bump it up.

I don't think Pete would give a shit. The 12's would still show up and print money for the Seahawks.
