Yeah, 20 seconds left and 1 timeout meant they couldn't run the ball 3 times in a row, there wasn't enough time. Throwing once was the smart thing to do from a clock management standpoint. Now, calling a slant into the middle of the defense? I don't think even Sark could outdo that.Doogles said:

Collinsworth was saying the same thing, right before the immaculate interception. It's been almost two weeks, and I still can't get over how stupid that play design was at that moment in the game. At the very least, run a damn play-action. When it's obvious an opponent has a play picked out, at least give them the damn look. They run a playfake, the defender would have most likely bit, and Russell could have thrown it behind the defense to the back of the endzone.
