Kearse has problems

It's really too bad Richardson went down just as he was starting to emerge because this team really could use another threat. I still like his game, but looking back I would have picked Jarvis Landry, Moncrief, Josh Huff, or Devonte Allen over Richardson.
Kearse has proven to make spectacular plays mixed with head scratching drops. I just like the gamer mentality he has. You can't teach that quality.
In crunch time, some people hyper focus and others crumble. Maybe that means I over value him, but he's proven he's better than the numbers and would take him over a lot of guys that "on paper" don't make sense. -
You're not overvaluing him, you're just not too damn stubborn to recognize that he contributes and that he does it when it matters most, which makes him different, it separates him in that way. He's not a #1 WR, and he has problems with consistency, but to say he's average is off base. Average players don't step up like that.Doogles said:It's really too bad Richardson went down just as he was starting to emerge because this team really could use another threat. It's tomorrapuppylove_sugarsteel said:What do you know, the most important drive o f the game and the ball goes through KEARSE'S hands again for another pick. All 4 picks thrown by Wilson were to Kearse. Cut his cunt. Cost hawks the superbowl. On a positive note, Im glad the 12's will have a shitty day tomorra

Dez Bryant drops that ball
Too soon? -

Is this a whoosh? There's probably 50 receivers you take over Kearse. Kearse isn't the #1 WR on the Hawks. Why do you keep comparing him to #1 WR's?MelloDawg said:Would still take the No. 1 WR from half the teams in the NFL over Kearse. Probably 2/3, to be fair

Yep. I don't get this debate. Kearse is good enough to wear a uniform and be a part of an offense. He'll make some nice plays. He's just a role player at WR though. Debating how he stacks up against any team's #1 WR and most teams' #2 WR is senseless though. He's not good enough to be measured against those guys. I think he's been really fortunate to land where he has and may not be able to hang onto a full time job if Seattle doesn't keep him around.dnc said:

Dude can't get it through his head that you aren't get to get ANY team's #1 for the half million we pay Kearse. So now you have a #1 WR and no Avril, or Wright or someone else on defense that costs money and produces.dnc said:

This whole discussion is fucking gay (75). Kearse made a hella catch and the Hawks are going back to the Super Bowl - so if you have some shit you want to talk, talk it about some motherfucker who ISN'T going to the Super Bowl after making a great catch.

David Tyree was below average and made the biggest catch in the history of the NFL. Mario Manningham is another average player who made some huge plays. The early Tom Brady teams had average WR's who made plays.Southerndawg said:

If you play for a good team, you get chances to make big plays in the playoffs. He's average. -
Would you rather be Kearse and play in Super Bowls or Calvin Johnson and be the best in the game stuck in Detroit? Financially Johnson but Kearse has more fun.
There's a reason the Pats and Hawks have average wideouts. They spend their money where it counts.
Some dumbass team will sign Dez Bryant for 120 million dollars and their fans will be all Super Bowl bound! and shit. But it won't happen.
Chicago has two great wide outs. Denver surrounded Manning with all sorts of "weapons". The Pats haven't won a Super Bowl in a decade because their defense got old and they went for offense. They have a good defense now again.
Dare I say the NE defense is for real and the Seattle offense is not exactly a juggernaut and it wil be a tough game? -
Yesterday morning I thought Seattle would destroy NE in a super bowl. Now I think it'll be a defensive dog fight. Vegas opened Seattle -2.5 and it almost immediately swung to pick em.

Seattle tried like hell to beat itself against Green Bay and couldn't do it. They'll be so much better in the Superb Owl. -
I think NE's defense is only for real in AFC terms - which means they really aren't.RaceBannon said:Would you rather be Kearse and play in Super Bowls or Calvin Johnson and be the best in the game stuck in Detroit? Financially Johnson but Kearse has more fun.

They slapped the Colts around pretty good but that could be because the Colts have no rushing threat to speak of.
I'm hoping after the Super Bowl, people will once again say the real Super Bowl was the NFCCG.

Uhh dnc, kearse kinda is our #1 WR. The Salar y cap has made it that way. Either him or Baldwin...take your pick. Who the fuck else is? I understand what you're saying, but you have to face reality. We spent all of our money on defense. Cant afford a "#1" WR like Dez...even Golden Tate.dnc said:

Fucking WRs aren't that important and if you think they are you're a fucking idiot.
Here's football: OL, DL, QB... coaching that gets the most from the players. Nothing else makes a bit of fucking difference. -

Exactly, it was clutch and not real easy with the decent coverage, but Wilson laid it in there well
-
I agree about the lines and QB. Thats the easiest way to success. That's not really the case for the Seahawks though. The OL isn't very good. DL is good, but probably the weakest unit on the defense. And Marshawn Lynch is really fucking important.Dennis_DeYoung said:

Lynch is the foundation for all of it. Without him, our WR's don't sniff the ball and Russ doesn't pull it back and wheel around the end for 25 yards, ever.
Watching his "why are you celebrating, this game isn't over" reaction after his late TD gave me a hard'n in my sweatpants, too.
I love that fuckin guy.
