No...it's not next man up. You need players....and when guys get hurt or superstars leave you are f-ed. Unless you have superstars to replace them. If Slingblade hasn't figured this out and think he can just plug whomever he damn well pleases and thinks Oregon is gonna win 12 games because he's Mark Helfrich....oh boy.
Right and the Ducks have more talent top to bottom than they have ever had. Almost everyone that got that ball thrown to them was a freshman and we'll be swapping Lowe for Addison which is a huge bump in talent. The tight end spot is fine because it's Oregon. They have been pulling in hordes of offensive lineman and a !of of the depth took a ton of snaps this year. Andre Y and Johnstone are back too. There will be five running backs in fall camp that would all start for UW.
The D-line is back along with adding two Buckner clones. If you start for John Neal you're basically going to start in the NFL or be All-Conference. The linebackers aren't great but they are getting better and help is on the way.
As far as coaching ability Rich Rod is the only threat to "out coach" anyone. Both of the LA schools are ran by shit birds. ASU is ASU. MWAC isn't getting UW anywhere because the only people that care are about dead from the crud.
Oregon has the biggest name in the conference, the best infrastructure, a coach who will never leave, and all the momentum in the world. What I'm getting at is most of you Doogs will die with Oregon as a powerhouse and UW a turd sandwich.
#special
Cute. He's not as shitty as we all thought. I'll admit that I was wrong. He's going to be better than Mike Bellotti which means UW stays in the toilet.
UW wasn't in the toilet because Oregon had Bellotti. UW was in the toilet because its coaches were shit.

The Huskies have more talent than they have ever had. All the receivers were freshman, the wonder twins. Damon Huard is better than Brunell. Kauffman and the stable of running backs are better than anything Oregon has. Breuner and the tight ends are great because its Washington. Every one who plays D line for Washington goes to the NFL. I was wrong about Lambo - he can coach.

The d line coming back is exactly what I don't want to fucking hear. They can all leave. Every single one of them needs to be an athletic beast weighing over 300 lbs with the speed of gazelles and the killer instinct of panthers or they can GTFO. Fucking sick of losing in the title game.

Too early to print the 2015 12-0 Dream Season T-shirts?

Hi, Lambo went 7-4 his first two seasons with no bowl games while finishing 4th and 5th in the conference.
Slingblade went 11-2 and 13-2 his first two seasons with a an Alamo Bowl and Rose Bowl win with an appearance in the National Title Game. The Ducks tied for 1st in their division his first year and won the conference his second year. Both seasons ended with a Top 10 ranking in all polls.
You're right though, those sound like similar situations. UW went to shit instantly when their legend left. Oregon got better. -
Someone doesn't get it

No, I get it. There just isn't a joke here anymore. The bulk of us thought Slingblade was going to be a turd and after a two year body of work nothing suggests that he is.
You're back to running on Doog hope which is fantastic for all of us Quooks. The shit you come with on hope is priceless. -
Mosster is right. 24-4 >>>>>>>> 14-8. Winners win.RaceBannon said:The Huskies have more talent than they have ever had. All the receivers were freshman, the wonder twins. Lambo hadn't coached yet in 93 and UW was on probation
Like I said you don't get it.
Things can change faster than you could ever think. Doesn't mean they will just means Mosster is fucking stupid as usual with his ever changing pronouncements.
Helfrich failed to match Coker who looked better than he does at this point in his career.
In 1992 the #1 ranked Huskies played top 10 Stanford o national television. The defending national champs beat the 2nd place Pac10 school 42-7. Hugh Millen called that the apex of the program. Leaving the stadium nobody knew that two weeks later the Seattle Times would break the Billy Joe Hobart story.
The Third Reich didn't last a thousand years. Shit happens. The only constant is change.
Hope this helps -
That fucko Race plagiarismed my shit. Coker > Slingblade at this point. Coker was coaching at a program with greater talent, but it also has a higher ceiling, harder to fuck up. Sorry duck fans, but that's true.AZDuck said:

Marriott is gone now along with other "key" players. The system is designed to be plug and play with the right plugger doing the playing, we'll see if (to paraphrase the great @Swaye) Slingblade can follow the master plugger (75k). He might, but chances are he won't and you don't need an "analysis" utilizing a SRS to come to that conclusion.
I get the sense that folks in here think it's easy to go from winning lots of games to winning national titles. It's not, some damn good coaches have tried and failed to break that code. Slingblade is still too early in his tenure to be properly evaluated. I will say that so far he does have Kelly's team executing at a high level, though some of that has to be balanced with them shitting themselves when they get punched in the mouth. Stanford and Arizona last year were clear examples of that, and this year, anyone with a pair of eyes can see that they are not deep with elite fast and powerful athletes such as those at Ohio State. To be fair, USC is probably the only team in the conference that typically has that depth, but they're just coming off sanctions and coached by an inept armenian. Oregon should continue to compete for conference titles, but getting to the playoffs again, under the current format, let alone getting over that last hump will be no easy task.
