Oregon makes the playoffs

Awfully warm for January

Let's get by Utah first, then use the two bye weeks to get ready for ASU

Lets. Oregon already made its 1 forgivable mistake. No room for another.greenblood said:Let's get by Utah first, then use the two bye weeks to get ready for ASU

I wouldn't say forgivable. If by some fluke, Oregon wins out, and they don't make the playoff because of that loss, then you can't forgive it.oregonblitzkrieg said:

three games to go and I just cannot say we are in until we are

I'll always cherish this magical mythical November playoff berth for Oregon.

I know it's a rivalry game, but if Oregon loses in Corvallis minus a Mariota injury or something like that, then Helfrich should be fired before he makes it to Riley for the handshake.AZDuck said: -

60/40 you make the playoffs. Big game this weekend and the PAC 12 championship won't be a gimme. The issues with the OL seem to be in the past, but your defense still is capable of getting lit up.
If you get in, I think you have a pretty good chance of winning it. -
I think Oregon makes the playoffs, and gets the SEC plunger in the semi final.

Nope. Another OL injured. Now Pierson down.RoadDawg55 said:60/40 you make the playoffs. Big game this weekend and the PAC 12 championship won't be a gimme. The issues with the OL seem to be in the past, but your defense still is capable of getting lit up.

The SEC West is easily the best conference, but part of the reason Miss State and Ole Miss are contending is because Alabama and LSU have slipped a little. They have four really good teams and another strong team in LSU. The conference is great, but I don't think the teams are nearly as good as Alabama from the past few years or Auburn with Cam Newton. Oregon or Florida State can beat them. They will have the best QB's. Either way it will be interesting.PurpleJ said:I think Oregon makes the playoffs, and gets the SEC plunger in the semi final.

FSU can. They did it last year. Even though this isn't really last year's FSU.RoadDawg55 said:

Oregon isn't strong enough at the line of scrimmage to play with the elite teams, and the secondaries of those SEC teams get overlooked a bit. Mariotta would have a tough time throwing. -

Oregon isn't as good as they were either. That's the problem for the PAC 12 honks. People assume Bama is down, but the next four weeks tell the tale. The early season was about Mississippi. November is about Alabama, Auburn and LSU
Oregon should cruise to the playoffs. They are clearly the best the west has to offer -

Oregon's overall roster isn't as good as it once was, but having Mariota matters. Mariota, Freeman, and Tyner is better than any QB-RB combo Oregon has ever had. It's not even that close. James, Barner, and DAT were good, but Freeman's size and power gives them a different dimension at RB, and you can't even compare Mariota to Thomas or Masoli.RaceBannon said:Oregon isn't as good as they were either. Oregon has scored 45+ on Michigan State, UW, and Stanford. Mariota and their offense will get theirs against anyone. Their OL has looked good since Fisher came back. I thought Oregon would lose 2+ games this year, but they have been lights out since the Arizona game. This is the first year I have thought they had a chance. Last year when they were getting pumped up, I thought Florida State or Alabama would beat them rather easily say 34-17.
Alabama is still really good, but they have slipped. It's obvious when watching them. Their OL isn't anywhere near as good as it was 2 years ago. They don't run the ball as well. Sims isn't as good as McCarron. Auburn is really good, but has also gotten really lucky the past two years. Miss State hasn't been playing as well the past few weeks. All of the SEC West teams are really good, but none of them are great or unbeatable. I don't think there is a dominant team in CFB this year. -
Oregon always looks unbeatable, until they lose.RoadDawg55 said:

It was obvious Oregon would have gotten smoked by Alabama and FSU last year before they had lost a game. In this dreckest year of college football (in terms of great teams), Oregon can win.JaWarrenJaHooker said:

I like how this year's Oregon team looks stronger as the season wears on rather than weaker, like last year's team. Instead of imploding after a shitty loss and continuing to spiral downward, they've improved and shown resilience. Freeman's nickname is Business. Maybe he businesslike attitude and the way he gets shit done has rubbed off on the collective psyche of the team.RoadDawg55 said:RaceBannon said:Oregon isn't as good as they were either.
