2/10 on 3rd down is more important

How many of the third downs were passing plays? Miles was okay. The turnovers sucked and he had his fair share of boneheaded plays and indecsion, but he made some nice throws too. The offense was a couple fumbles inside the 10 from putting together their first good showing on offense in weeks. OTOH, Colorado sucks and any QB should be able to do some things against them. The next couple weeks are the test. Miles and Smith have an opportunity to show they don't completely suck.

Look at the defense he was playing. There were some big holes in the zone (I really hope it was zone for their sake) and he hit some open guys. Kent Baer is their DC too.

Miles was good enough to win today.

He left a number of plays on the field today against a team that had to sell out to stop Shaq. I thought Smith did a very good job of helping to put him in positions to be successful in the passing game once the run got established.

The turnovers were absolutely brain dead plays on his end. Just flat out ridiculous.

When we establish the run like we did today, make the kind of adjustments that we did on defense, and get scores from both our defense and special teams, we should win a lot of games.

I didn't watch the game. Who the Phu schedules a 10 am game morning after Halloween? Got home at 8:30 am and woke at 1...maybe it was good to miss this messy game. Mile's 2 fumbles were avoidable, but at least he doesn't throw INTs.

If Miles had Furd's OL and a decent TE emerge, this O could be very good.

I think he's going to remain as the starter as long as he's at UW. Next year will probably be bad again on the O, and he'll probably get even more complaints and pressure next year, but he's gonna always get 2x the passing yardage of Lindquist and Williams.

Agree with some of that, but Colorado didn't sell out to stop the run. There is a reason they are the worst run defense in the league. A guy getting over 11 a pop on the ground isn't selling out to shut it down.

Conner Halliday post of the day

It would take Halliday (RIP) 50 throws to amass those yardage and TD totals.
