Go back and watch the first drive of the second half - we used misdirection off the run game for a number of easy plays.
A lot of the openings in the passing game in the 2nd half as set up by the running in the first half -

When you're able to run the ball, and your defense is keeping you in the game, Miles is good enough to win it for you. When those things aren't happening (which is hopefully rare), Miles is going to lose. And it will probably look pretty ugly.
