Makes sense. He stays here and is a nobody getting 10 carries a game. Will be a heisman contender with a competent play caller next year.

If / since Mohammed has a handler, they probably went to Fisch / Graham and said he wanted more money since he was going to be the lead back next year. The coaches probably said you need to prove you can handle it week in and week out and then we'll pay you a lot more for your senior year. His handler likely disagreed and the coaches said, "Well head into the portal and see what offers you get and then give us a chance to match / beat it."
If anyone has a chance at withdrawing from the portal, I think it is Mohammed. This is purely price discovery.
