A Hardcore Husky O.G. sells the couch

Is it really relevant to this thread? It came of as off-topic and gratuitous to me. But that's me.
More than ever, TITTT. JFC.

This is a bummer to read. It did seem like the MAHA board was pretty quiet and that had me concerned. Seemed like a good guy and he'll be missed here. 47 is way too young.

Pawz wasn’t jabbed. He told me face to face. I’m not gonna go off in the weeds about jabs and cancer theories in the man’s Hardcore obituary thread.
-
Gonna wear this around for a week like when someone dies in tha hood.
Didn’t know the guy very well. Think I met him once a long time ago at the tiki bar get together. I had a childhood friend die from cancer at age 31 and I never got to say goodbye (during covid, very sudden stage 4). Shit sucks. RIP in peace pal.
P.S. Who’s starting the goooo huskies chant at the funeral?

Man … I really hate hearing this
And while people may be critical of sharing info like this after the fact, I sincerely do thank @DerekJohnson for sharing this type of information
I've known @pawz for close to 20 years …
When I still lived in Dallas and the online poker world was still a thing we'd talk a lot about poker and would sweat each other if somebody was making a deep run.
The last DM messages that I had with him here was tied to talking through the winning hand at the WSOP Main Event back in 2021 and some general political discourse around 2022 and the mid-term elections.
My favorite UW related moment with him was meeting up with him before the 2009 game vs USC as we were tailgating in the same general area. I told him before the game that I really did think that UW would win and listed off the reasons (and they weren't the Cinco Reasons) … he mulled them over and thought that they made some sense. Of course we all know what happened that day.
He was a smart dude and a good dude.
Fuck Cancer

@pawz was an OG and brought a refreshing curiosity to the world that's frankly inspirational.
Happy I had a chance to meet him @Cal wearing his Purple HH hat.
The news hurts in many ways and he'll be missed greatly.
RIP Brother

I have known @pawz for many many years. My first interaction with him I believe he was like a ticket broker at the time and I bought some tickets to a husky game. Sent him the money and I just hoped they would be a Will Call like he said they would
Of course they were there
This absolutely breaks my heart as my last message with him was on September 11 as he told me he was getting ready for another round of chemo and actually he thought he was feeling OK at that point.
had a great time hanging out with him at Kip’s years ago for that Cal game that @Doogles mentioned.GOOOOOOO!!!!!!

This. He was a super nice guy in person and on the boards. At the Pizza Coop circle jerk, him and I looked at each other in amazement that some of you knew how many tackles EJ Savannah had in some game. There was some watch talk as well. May he RIP.
-
I remember that I told my Herb Mead/ EJ Savannah story that day as well.
-
Life is unfortunately filled with a lot of malarkey.
-
A moment of silence, or if you will, a @pawz
-
-
Wait what? There's a MAHA board here? He used to write about that stuff quite a bit.
-
So who's setting up the 1st annual HH poker tournament in PAWZ' honor? I might have to show up for that.
-
I'd trade my likely losses for the laughs. The buy-in should also include a $20 or $50 donation to the Hutch in Pawz's name.
-
I didn’t know this until listening to the postgame poodcast. Fucking sucks.
I met Andrew hand delivering his “MAKE THE HUSKIES GREAT AGAIN” hat at some casino in Kirkland. While chatting for 5 min we both witnessed a domestic disturbance and got to submit police statements together. Some real HcH bonding.
Too young, fuck

Baze gave me a heads up a few days ago. I was surprised, but not shccked as he had alluded to cancer treatment on here before. He definitely had some interesting views, but he seemed like a kind soul deep down. Very sorry to hear this.
-
That's a great way to describe him
-
sorry to hear it. Fuck cancer.
-
You got it all wrong about face to face with half brains, Don Creep. When you have to say it to someone’s face, it creates a more polite society. Any faux, tuff guy, key board warrior can talk shit on anonymous internet message boards. @pawz had some very interesting views which frequently diverged from mine, but having hung out a number of times in real life we never got too chippy with each other on HCH.
-
IF referring to his health views, consider that his personal health being turned upside down at a young age probably put him in a place that few here will ever experience and I'm sure influenced what he chose to research and talk about. Even if you thought some of the MAHA stuff was off-base, you had to cut the guy slack because he was going through some real life shit and trying like hell to overcome the odds.

I suspect @pawz got a great deal of entertainment value out of the seed oils wars with yours truly.
