It's an impressive pedigree and that's not even counting the 90s guys like Dana Hall, Lawyer Milloy, and Tony Parrish. Ironically our DB production is waning because our stud DB coach who we turned into a head coach didn't fucking recruit any once he got promoted to DC and he only hired shitty recruiters.
The fact that Myles Bryant chose to walk on to play for Lake over a scholarship elsewhere was a great business decision on his part. We? were definitely dbu under Petersen.
The Rose Bowl team that took out Drew Brees had two freshmen - our own Derrick Johnson and The Rock Alexander. Also Vonture and Omare Lowe. And Hakim Allah Akbar. And the legend Chris Massey
Never forget Greg Caruthers. I thought the guy was going to be an All-American unbelievable hitter but his career took a weird turn and he seemed to get worse every year and eventually moved to linebacker.
I met Walter Bailey when he was selling suits at the Northgate mall 94ish. Totally full of himself when I recognized him and he introduced himself as “I don’t have a name, I have a number 23” at the Bon when we were cutting through their store. I laughed and my wife was confused and asked me why he would act in such a way in sales? Had he portaled to Nordstrom I would have bought a suit from him. I actually felt kinda sad for him but it was probably a pretty humbling experience after being a Big Dawg for 5 years.

How can we? not be DBU with guys like Greg Ducre?
He sniffed the NFL
Tripper Johnson snub is unforgivable
Ducre was a decent college CB by the end.
I was surprised Ducre was in the video also.

Don't forget Walter Bailey and Shane Pahukoa
Tony Parrish
