I like how in response to this story Jon Wilner had to take another opportunity to say that this is why he thinks the B1G will move to unequal revenue sharing. Dude just can't shut the fuck up nor admit that all of that nonsense would only help the Washington and hurt Minnesota and Purdue.
The reality that is perfectly clear at this point is that Michigan, Penn State at a minimum enjoy the west coast schools in their conference now. Their fans love flying out here or already live here, they're fresh rivalries that have meaning from the rose bowl history, and there's no way in hell, absolutely none, that they see Washington as a school that isn't "earning their keep".
Wilner and the cougs and beavs just want some fantasy where Oregon and Washington, really just those 2, are somehow treated like they're in some line behind Purdue which there has only been evidence to point toward the opposite. People will disagree here but even Wisconsin might be behind UW and Oregon in the eyes of the B1G decision makers at this point.
Talking to the Cougs that are annoying about this their inability to even acknowledge USC and UCLA in what happened is hilarious. They act like Washington just decided they wanted to join the Big 10 and it wasn't a reaction to USC/UCLA and a shitty deal/sinking ship. I don't think it seemed like Washington or Oregon wanted to leave.
Also, WSU's program is all about hating UW so why the hell should they ever do anything to help WSU out? Let's say there was relegation and UW was playing a game to have to drop down to the Mountain West. Would WSU fans then be rooting for them to not leave the conference.

wilner has been proven over and over again through the p12 downfall story he has no inside sources.
