Listening to the LockedOn podcasts all summer, they would interview recruits that talked about things on their visit that reminded me much more of the Petersen Build For Life stuff. No his staff probably isn't as good at it and pumps in the Be A Pro message whereas Petersen didn't have to, but it's a different era now.
Then you have the Texas receiver who went an entire season there and didn't even make it to spring ball here.
In terms of Lake, it's more that those two seem to be the only ones that lean into all the corny Adidas apparel and looking hip and cool without having the results on the field, and Lake did keep a bunch of the discipline stuff obviously.
I've heard and observed some Fisch stuff that does remind me of Lake. Twitter guy source, but have heard he's way too opinionated and dictator like on marketing stuff and may have been too harsh on firing people that weren't his people. Also being stubborn with sticking to calling plays like how Jimmy wanted his stupid power running game when they didn't have the personnel to do it and it being the 2020s. Lake and Fisch also are great at taking credit for Petersen stuff. The Be A Pro shit is cringe and legit should be called out by rivals when we don't have a single guy getting a combine invite this year probably and maybe zero drafted. I guess Jedd can sell the recent Arizona guys though.
Fisch seeming genuine about believing UW needs to build from high school mostly is Petersen like, but I think that might be more circumstance of UW being poor than Petersen who did have a bunch of NFL guys he inherited but was steadfast in his shit.

You don't give a shit which coach he's like. But you think he's like Jimmy Lake.
