1873ish to 1913 we ran the government exclusively in tariffs. The country was loaded with money. Large excess cash. That was used by Teddy R. To buy the land for all this national parks like Yellowstone and establish them. Just one example. That's why they're putting Mt. McKinleys name back in place too. President McKinley has a lot to do with all that. Trump just called for eliminating the income tax.

If we put the tarrifs that Trump wants on, 40% China and 10% rest of the world it amounts to 500 billion... yeah that will fund the government... oh plus they just raise prices so you get to pay for it... in 2024 tarrifs don't work.
So you want to add to inflation? Because that's all that will happen... sure it will bring some jobs home... but there is a reason they dropped the tarrifs last time... no in the US they don't work and only hurt the little guy that has to pay for it.
Yes for protection tarrifs work, if that's your goal... prices are also way more expensive in Europe due to this as well... I'd rather not have that here.

Nuclear Submarines i thought and missile chips.
Mall Cop wants to get back to that super-duper economy of 1873—the beginning of "the Long Depression". Did none of you guys ever take US history?
There's hope!
Did it last to 1913?
The Great Depression happened with the income tax

Yeesh
Trump dressing up as Boss Tweed on Halloween could be a fun goof.
It only lasted 26 years, so no biggie.
By the way, did you know they now have a machine that lets you look these things up for yourself?
As always the point went flying over your head
Nah, it’s just him moving the goalposts after yet again getting blown away.
He’s very predictable, as are all of his fellow morons in the world.
Ern? Unpredictable. Can’t call him a moron.
He is a moron. Not a real challenge there. Being a GIF expert troll while intoxicated isn't really a resume builder.

How come tarrifs only don't work when America does it?
There are all sorts of tarrifs on American goods
Unilateral surrender isn't a good look
In addition to tariffs on American goods, there are steep burdens to enter European markets in order to protect European companies.
You don't mean that.

Have to get to fair trade before you can get to free trade.
Prices are way more expensive in Europe for a shitload of reasons.
That sounds like something a foreign country that doesn't want American tariffs would say
Why don't they work here?
Why don't we make our own shit
Yes, VAT tax etc... but also due to blocking cheaper imports... I don't want our prices to go up... do you?
