National Brands

If they are going to play this late on a Monday they need blue bloods like Michigan and Washington. Sure Notre Dame and Ohio State were cute little Cinderella teams but not in the final

playoff fatigue is real.
I know I had it. -
It's combining the two playoffs in the same month. I have some NFL fatigue as well and the playoffs are all I watch anymore
College - December
NFL - January
People forget that the Ice Bowl was played in December. The NFL championship game was always before the Rose Bowl.

BIG PENIX RATINGS
-
Too midwest for the rest of the cuntry to care
-
One thing that could be happening is eventually everything has to reach a peak going against the shit we all do now where everything has to grow no matter what, which is causing a lot of the unnecessary changes in college football. Is it possible for the college football championship to get more viewers than they did in the past? Possibly not.

Getting the game off of fucking ESPN will help
-
I FUBO'd that shit out here in England. Record time started 1230AM, my son wanted to watch so I said we can before school and we can fast forward because I don't want him up til 4AM on a school night.
I fuckin' turn on FUBO at 6AM and it just finished and the score was up there. Way too long if you are not an a gambler or an alum.
Also, there was a stretch at the end of the 1st quarter to to the start of the 2nd that was 0:07 of game time and 17min of real time. Real time would have been brutal.

College football is unwatchable live
-
I think this is why.

Older readers may recall the intersection of the expanded NCAA basketball tourney and the newish ESPN
ESPN took the 1st and 2nd round games on weekdays and turned them into an event with limited breaks and the "whip around" to games entering exciting times
It was so cool that CBS insisted on taking it over the next year and the whip around became we will look in on this game after these 5 minutes of commercials
We tend to over saturate and ruin everything
-
When was the last time you were at Husky Stadium?
-
2007
But I've been to Berkely, Palo Alto, Atlanta, Phoenix and Pasadena since. I've been everywhere man. I passed my time tweeting and posting here during breaks
I was specifically referring to watching live on TV. I have to DVR it so I can FF through the bullshit
-
Got it. Yeah the commercials are killing the product.
You should go to Huskieieieeie stadium since the remodel. It is a way better experience than it used to be, especially now that alcohol is served everywhere and not just the zone
-
They need to make the first playoff round earlier so the rose bowl can be a semi final
-
I will give some credit to the Husky Stadium experience improvements. I'm not sure what it is and it's been even for sold out packed games, but I can leave my seat halfway through halftime, walk up and get concessions and get back before the second half kick. Being able to get beers is pretty surreal too and they're not experience all things considered compared to like a Mariners game. The commercial breaks suck but now that we all have smartphones not as bad because I can text and check other scores. We also sit where we can see how much time is in the break on the chains.
-
I don't really agree with this take. At all.
It has turned into an NFL experience.
-
It's night and day from a Hawks game at Lumen - far better.
The sightlines are awesome. North Deck looking out over space needle, Bellevue, mountains…it's pretty surreal. No more track helps a lot. Concessions are actually good.
The DJ segments are slightly annoying but no more annoying than commercial breaks on TV

I agree that every aspect of the stadium itself is lights out.
My problems are:
- The band basically doesn't get to play at all anymore.
- Students were pushed to the endzone.
- The endless DJ sessions and blaring music between every snap are grating.
I get that not all of those things will ever change back to how they used to be because of money, but they could do a lot by turning off the music and letting the band play some Husky Stadium classics. I would much rather listen to @tequilla being played 100 times a game versus having to sit through the current top-40 playlist.

There is a single national brand for Husky athletics and his name is @RaceBannon, sometimes also @AtomicPiss

Don't forget the stupid fucking Journey track, "Don't Stop Believin'," they play every gayme. Cheesy AF.

Its special when the away Michigan team sings "from South Detroit" in your stadium because UW has zero creativity to find a Seattle song
-
I don’t like a lot of the stupid shit in the stadium and when they moved the students but when you apparently have to compete with people offering $850k to Idaho WRs you have to maximize money. And all the stupid shit is to try and get the non lunatic fridge types who aren’t living and dying on every play like me and you to come and stay. I’m shocked they can get kids who can get into UW in the 2020s to come to games. What are they paying them?
-
I forgot about the Journey shit. Absolutely retarded
-
Mix-a-Lot “Posse on Broadway” all day.
-
I have commented on this, but my understanding is that Fisch has a good amount of input on the game day atmosphere and prefers the band play less.
-
You could be making that up but the thought of it makes me upset. Its odd having head coaches be the most important part of a team and yet they could not care at all about the program and it's history and leave at a moments notice
-
If true, fuel to my fire of hate.
-
Howz about we offer $300,000 to Pacific Lutheran to come to Husky Stadium and we take the $500,000 saved and buy a decent left tackle
-
The alcohol situation seems very Karen like. It was a rip off, Nancy, who looked almost like a Rotary Club Volunteer, opened my Twisted Teas for me (I can do it myself), then they wouldn't let me leave the stadium with the can. At pro games, even AAA games, you just buy a beer and there isn't all this nanny hassle bullshit.
When I saw Boise Beauty School last year, there's no way more than 42,000 people were there. I guess Hamilton was in town. It was Labor Day Weekend so some people are out of town and no students, but still.
