I know I can be a snarky piece of shit on some of these boards
but I’m legitimately asking you I have done zero research….But what is wrong with seed oils? I don’t ever use vegetable oil. We do buy canola oil and use that.
is olive oil considered a seed oil? We use extra-virgin olive oil as well.
Again I apologize if these questions are stupid. And I’m not being snarky….really asking.
Hey @pawz this is where all this seed oil stuff becomes kind of messy. And I typically don't eat any of those in the red, unless in salad dressings or however a restaurant cooks something since I don't know the production process there, or as a minor ingredient. BUT. Your picture above says Grapeseed oil is good. Now here it is bad.
This guy is saying Linoleic acid is bad now. The American Heart Association disagrees.
We judge the evidence to favor recommending n-6 polyunsaturated fat, that is, linoleic acid, stronger than monounsaturated fat to replace saturated fat because of the positive results of randomized clinical trials that used polyunsaturated fat compared with the paucity of trials that used monounsaturated fat10; the greater relative risk reduction for polyunsaturated fats in observational studies12,17,18; the greater reduction in LDL cholesterol with polyunsaturated fat4; and the regression of atherosclerosis in nonhuman primates by polyunsaturated but not monounsaturated fat.5 However, progress in reducing CVD would be enhanced by replacing saturated fat by either type of unsaturated fat.
Almonds come in at 24% Linoleic acid. Are almonds bad and a toxic trap causing inflammation?
So why should we listen to whoever the fuck that guy is?

That's the kind of joke I would make.
Three Year Letterman is a national treasure. After all these years, the number of people who still haven’t caught on to his shtick is staggering.
My Twitter handle if I ever change my mind and get one will be 2 Year Letterman!

I'm not going to pretend to know enough to be judge, jury and executioner … I need to dig in before offering an opinion specific to your question.
The fact Dr Goddek holds a PhD in biotechnology is a step in the right direction. More from him:
