Oregon (13-0) losing to Ohio State 41-21 in the quarterfinals
Bama was a bit different because their defense was just too good but Petersen’s big out of conference game Mo was to come out and get dug a huge hole and look non competitive and then rally for a respectable
You have a point, but even @GrandpaSankey could see that UW wasn't a match for Bama that season. 2023 UW coulda/shoulda/woulda hung with or even beat Michigan.

yeah if I remember the script correctly the team came out against Bama, Penn State, Ohio State and even Auburn in 2018 and the Cactus Bowl looking horribly outmatched like a bad FCS team and then was able to rally to make one possession games.
I have a really hard time comparing the 16 and 23 teams though I go back and forth with which feels better but I feel like if you put Penix on 16 they’re unbeatable or if you put some defense guys on 2023 they’re unbeatable.
Comprehension does matter. Hence, the 10 UW players that were drafted, the majority of which had no eligibility left. That's not, "Followed him out the door," due to him bouncing. Christ.

The Rose Bowl against the Bucks is a good example
hot take: 2016 chic fil a peach bowl bama v dawgs. Wasn’t damaging but damn it was kinda heartbreaking. Defense was so fun to watch then.
Close the gates, @AtomicPiss.

They still had at least 20 players hit the portal. That’s a shit ton.
To be expected when your coach who was constantly saying he loves you, and all the other shit DeBoer does, leaves a few days after a title game
