The “dumb, impressionable, overconfident male” quotient is also part of the equation. When I was 20, I not only thought I was the best at pretty much everything, I knew I was.
It sounds like you have an inside scoop so I will mentally prepare myself. I could see it making sense for RW if the staff is bringing in the WR from Idaho and the WR from Texas. Then he'd be, at best, 4th in line for targets.
If UW only takes one of the WRs, he'd still be well positioned for more targets in 2025 and then could be a #1 WR as a RS-JR in 2026. As they say, patience is a virtue.
I think a lot of them are moving for very meager increases. An extra 10-15k is probably a lot to most of these players. $15k credit at the local Ford dealer might be enough to lure guys who aren't getting paid at their school.
Yeah I just feel like so many of these guys if they just stayed at their first school would be good contributors as juniors and seniors and be able to leverage that into equal NIL deals and give themselves the best shot they can at any pro coffee cups and instead will bounce around to 1-2 more schools and never truly catch on.
I don't think Reynolds or Williams are being pushed out but feel like it's probably a scenario where the staff is fine with it feeling like they can get the same guy who has decided he wants to take off from another school.
It’d be great if the window to get into the portal was 5 days. We’re two weeks in and we’re all still wondering who’s leaving and how many are needed to fill the roster. Just get in and be done with it. Giving guys a month to mull over something they should have figured out during the season is pretty stupid.
Good call. Fish missed the playoff exodus spring portal by one year. Should be more quality in the spring portal this year than in years past for sure.

i doubt they would be pushing Rashid out. He looks like a solid contributor at worst the remainder of his career.
He’s not getting pushed out. But he’s gonna portal.

I think some people were content to stay, but they're seeing portals come in to their positions
For that reason, I think you'll see more portals in the spring, especially from the playoff teams
