Can we compromise and have it be both? He was a stud two-way player and is a deserving winner - and not a quarterback. And not from a blue blood school. And not a duck. That's as pure as Virgin Mary's VJ.

No. the “not a this and not a that” doesn’t factor in. Best player in the game is the criteria. Hunter was clearly the best and is THE deserving player. The only one. They shouldn’t have even invited Genty and Gabriel. Should have had every single vote. Every vote for Genty was due entirely to bias or was cast by stupid people. Or both.
That’s extra virgin pure.

I will concede that those votes are more stupid than voting for the mountain west stat running back. just once, just here. Voters need to be vetted.
back to the only message that matters: the Heisman trophy matters again. best choice in decades. not even close. we have not had a winner like this in our lifetimes.

I don’t disagree. He’s Charles Woodson if Woodson was also a top 5 wr. Will be interesting to see how he’s used in the nfl. I think he’s a better corner than wr but WR is where the $ is at
