How about the actual Ukrainians? Was their negotiating position better before the war started? Two years ago? Today? When are the next elections? Why isn't Europe treating the Russians as an existential threat? What Russian proxies threaten the US? Why is the Ukrainian border more important than the US border? You can sift through this thread and those questions haven't been answered by Team Ukraine.

Bot did call reduced proxy effectiveness. Russia backed off either due to bandwidth or strategic decisions. Maybe a deal with Turkey was made here too. Who knows, but definetly we or anyone else should never trust the Turks.

I agree with you there. I’d argue that Turkey getting more control/influence of the region vs Russia is a net bad thing for the US.

Agreed. Letting a fundamentalist Islamic state into NATO is world class stupid. Keeping them in NATO is doubling down on stupid. Typical MIC thinking, that the money to be made by selling them
