I'm listening to their interview of Kalen DeBoer. They set up a question by pointing out what a challenge he faced this season having to replenish a depleted roster…
It's not inaccurate though that Alabama doesn't have the straight up talent they have had the past 15+ years. There's a few reasons how and why, but it is what it is, and I wouldn't be surprised if ol Saban strategically picked when to retire knowing that.

They had their own portal issues after Nick left
The story of a scrappy underdog Bama team making the playoffs will be legendary
It's hard in Tuscaloosa for poor 'ole Kalen.
did he start every answer with “Yeah…..?”
Kalen did emphasize that Bama had one of the toughest schedules in the nation.
#MyDeBoer seems to have a little Fisch in him
I was thinking the other day that I don't recall a single thing DeBoer ever said here. Wouldn't say shit if he had a mouthful
I'm sure he's feeling the heat.
What's worse, listening to ESPN, or Softy?
That's like comparing Pol Pot with Hitler
Only quote I remember is "I never want to put a limit in these guys' minds of what can be accomplished this season."
Swoon
You have no idea the damage 7 time national champion Nick Saban did to that program.
It's not who you recruit its who you keep
Caleb Downs is a star at Ohio State now
There's a reason Germie Bernard is starting at reciever. 4th string here
Dude killed two programs at once

Arizona got the worst of it from the Saban retirement
Does this mean DeBoer was brought in to clean up the program?
Butterfly effect. San Jose State actually seemed to do just fine which doesn't bode well for the great Brent Brennan.
Now he'll never get a statue.
Three. But Bama nearly survived.
