The NFL gives every team from the Giants and Jets to the Jags equal TV money. It's very egalitarian. Before they started ruining with stupid rules and woke bullshit (tittt), it was a pretty good system. College football could do something similar and put in a stipulation that you lose NIL money if you transfer four times….or continue with this abomination.

Mario Bailey had a very logical and measured take on Jabbar recently. He will never be welcomed home by former Husky legends. Also mentioned he won’t be welcomed back on footfall Sat and scrubbed in future team pics of last year’s team in the future, not because he transferred but where. He will probably mention his high school during those live game intros pregame and list Oregon his actual university on his NFL bio. I also don’t dislike him as many here. I feel different about the two Seattle kids that grew up in Seattle but transferring to Miami and Ole Miss to cash especially Powel? since this is real money for him, maybe he needs to help family. But Oregon lame

It's really hard for me to have a solid adult stance on any of this. The doog in me gets pissed but the cloak and dagger shit around NIL gives me some pause. We don't know how much guys are offered to go to places compared to somewhere else. Lets say Kalepo and Beulow were really offered like $750k to go to Ole Piss and go 9-3 (I said that was gonna happen btw) but were only offered $300k to stay at UW. Are we really supposed to expect 22 year olds to make that sacrifice to stay home, and who have also been at the same place for six years and are fringe NFL guys who might never have another chance to get paid a decent amount to experience living somewhere else.

Muhammad is a bit different as he was a mercenary UW paid to get away from Okie State who probably would have went to Oklahoma had they paid him. I would have thought someone would have bonded with the program enough in a year like 2023 to not turn around and go to their terrorist rival but again if Texas is offering you $700k and Oregon offers $1.2mil (that this is a possibility is just so dumb) when you're like a fringe NFL guy and just decent college CB what do you do? I also wonder if he would've taken reps away from his cousin had he gone to Texas.

He also got to plug into the Oregon hype and sponsored content train. I remember he popped up in the first round of some mock drafts after transferring and I laughed knowing these guys hadn't really watched him and weren't aware he might be as short as 5'6.
