I have arrested many drunk drivers. I've never arrested a sober one. Sometimes they have drugs onboard but those symptoms are usually easy to spot. Very rarely you would catch them on the downside of the curve and they'd blow just under the legal limit by the time you did the field sobriety tests and transported them to the station searched them and did the test.
I had one of the CDA jackasses convinced I was drunk and I hadn't had a drink in 6 months.... took me out of the car and everything, said I was failing his " objective" tests.... his partner finally realized i was sober and let me go.... I immediately requested a breathalyzer and they refused.... jack asses.
Saw a comment somewhere saying it was part of a "taxation by citation" program. Lol! Not sure if that's true in this case but I've suspected many jurisdictions of engaging in similar "emphasis" programs to raise money.
I don't know how citation fines work everywhere. In Kali the fines are usually low but the court fees are gigantic! A $50.00 fine would be something like $400.00 after court fees and penalties. The city got back a small protion of the base fine amount. Not profitable really. Parking tickets on the other hand are because the city gets the entire fine.
Truth! I was arrested there for lifting a beer my friend had placed on top of the car I was getting into. My friend was 21 and I was like 19. I had to spend the entire day in jail. I came back months later and threatened to sue the city with my attorney. The judge immediately dropped the case. I should have sued anyway but my attorney probably reminded me how much I drank later that night;-)
It was a Hispanic kid. Narrative got destroyed so the story went goodbye. Which Retard here was so upset about that supposed incident? Almost in tears.
