Penn State's offense is slightly better than Iowa's in passing and scoring, and yet had they stayed hammer down the whole game instead of mid 2nd on working on install for future opponents to see on tape, diff. formations, etc etc could have easily been in the 50's ie name the score
This was team 4/5 that had they decided to not throw a pass all game still win by two scores (thanks Michigan and SC for playing "long game" in programs instead of just getting win on field). At best there's only 2 more over course of next 3 weeks.
Speaking of in three weeks what if the Ducks decide to play their varsity with purpose and emotion to exercise the last 2 years and 3 games by really putting one on us. I don't think they will as they will start prepping for B10 Conf. Champ Game 1st series 3d quarter by yanking all their starters but Lanning seems hell bent on showing everyone in CFB they are West Coast Version of Kirby Smart's 20-23 Georgia Bulldogs.
James Franklin can win 8 games every year at Penn State with their Program Advantages and committment, along with recruiting geography b4 he gets off bus for day 1 practice in August, so only has to go 2-2 to win 10 games and make 12 team college football playoffs, so unless he gets shitty shitty schedule luck (playing the O and O teams, SC on road where they still have something to play for under Lincoln Riley and a road game in November vs Iowa, Wisconsin, Nebraska where it's fluky type game they will be in playoffs every 4 out of 5 years.
As bad as our front is on D, average at best at LB, and corners who don't get really tested b/c there's no need to throw at them, I still trust this side of ball to get a stop more than the O to make a play which tells you everything you need to know about this years team.
