-He's been worse since they lost McCree, who was looking like the answer at LT. It's hard to play QB when someone jailbreaks through the line almost immediately every fucking play.
-He has one WR and a slot guy who seems to be really streaky. He basically has no #3 or #4 or #whatever WR and his tight ends are a Nevada transfer and a true freshman.
-Fisch's offense doesn't seem like a fit for him. Aside from the read option stuff being pointless, it's a lot of slow-developing play action, which seems like a recipe for disaster with a terrible OL.
I'd add that only recently has Hatchett gotten back to full strength (playing the whole game against USC).
The staff definitely needs to scheme as much as possible to protect Rogers from PSU's pass rush and absolutely needs to break tendencies on 3rd and medium by running the ball. Need to keep the DEs honest.
Last year, a few analysts said that the WR routes would slightly change, depending on where the safeties were at. Penix read the safeties and knew where the WR was supposed to alter their routes and throw his bombs to there. I wish the current coaches would adopt this style.

I'll make some excuses for Rogers.

I would guess they have but Rogers can’t execute because … Rogers
