Maybe I misunderstood the question but did you mean going to the game where College Gameday was or did you mean standing around in the crowd laughing at the Cuog waving their flag and holding a funny sign to get on TV College Gameday?
I would assume it is better to watch on tv if you wanted to see anything. I have no desire to go but my kids probably will make me drag myself there some day.
I think being in the crowd with the hoi polloi might not being the greatest experience.
I've been lucky enough through some ESPN connections to get VIP, back stage type access which was pretty cool.
Even got to go on stage in 2013 post the show and meet Herbstreit and Corso which was fun. Kirk shook my hand and said "How, you doing big fella?". I've got a few inches on him IRL.
Not my kinda thing. I have only watched the thing once (in its entirely) and that was because I had waken up at 3:30 am (which is when it airs in my parts).
Got a last-minute invite from a buddy to go to last year's game against Oregon. Spent a while watching the scene in red square. Then went to drink beer before the game.

I mean being there at the set as the show is being filmed live.
This year, by accident…We were in Dublin (Ireland not Ohio), it was near our hotel, and Mrs Fish wanted to go…#ramblinwreck

Couldn't pay me to go to one of those.

damn - you compared dicks?
Your experience sounds very cool but to say being in the crowd with everyone isn't a good experience is so anti college football it hurts

It was a good day even before UW won.
Gameday hasn't been good in 15 years. Actually probably 20 years. It's stupid and corny. That's why Cougs and Ducks are really into it.
