TLDR: SEC and Big 10 want to create a scheduling partnership, get 4 auto births for the CFP, and bully the rest of College Football. Big 10 wants SEC to stop being pussies with their weak 8 game conference schedule.
It's time for the Last Full Measure and to purge the shit schools from the B1G and SEC and bring in ND, Miami, Florida St, Clempson, etc into the 32 team super league.
Everyone wants NFL Lite and I'm on board. Fuck it.
This would kill the Apple Cup unless we are willing to go on the road 6 times a year.
Other schools with longstanding OOC matchups similar or better than the Apple Cup or Civil War:
USC (ND)
Iowa (ISU - well really the same as Apple Cup)
Florida - (FSU, sometimes Miami)
Georgia (GT)
Missouri (Kansas)
After resolving the 8 or 9 conference games issue, the next item is to determine where it is 32, 36 or 40 teams in the super conference. Currently at 34 without ND/U/FSU/Clempson
I say play the Apple Cup every 4 years. That way the winner can hold the trophy and talk shit between World Cups. It would give it more meaning in the modern era, I guess.
Let's not go crazy here. SEC? Vanderbilt, ok. Arkansas, South Carolina and the Mississippi schools are the other options, though I guess Ole Miss has progressed out of that tier thanks to Lane.
B1G: Rutgers, Maryland, Indiana, Purdue, Northwestern, Illinois, Minnesota are the options. Cuog is in that realm.
If we're giving points for level of difficulty given location and media, then sure, Cuog has punched above its weight for a while. But their program is not discernibly better than any of that group.
Go to the relegation model which probably only means periodic visits by Cuog and Beav.
Schedule in the Apple Cup and Civil War when both squads deserve it.
Distribute revenue based on on-field success. Reserve some for teams making the move up in relegation each year as a payoff, reduce the bottom feeders payout until they win their way back in
There’s some shit teams in all the P4 conferences. Just rotate the shit teams.
It's a nonsensical idea. Athletic deparments have budgets penciled in years in advance, and how do you schedule 130 teams or whatever when 20 of them are changing every year?

That's why you took the half share
To be in the game
@SalemKewg true?

I don't know how you dump them be there's a lot of dreck in the Power 2 that have no business being there. Their hoops teams can fuck off.
Kewg is more deserving of being in than half of the teams in the SEC and B1G. They don't have a media market, though, so they're screwed.

Cuog is glorified Big Sky. Fuck them and fuck UW for placating those fuckers.
A 2:1 with lil bro would work.

This is great news for UW since our future OOC is bland and weak; 2024 is the first of a 5 year stretch without a P4 opponent.
