Deboer was obviously really good but he didn't recruit at all and could have easily lost a few games he shouldn't have. He's also probably going to die of ozempic overdose in 18 months anyways
There was some info about DeBoer using the indoor practice facility whenever it rained. I think he wanted out of Washington and wanted to go some place with better weather. And then Bama called.
For some reason, I’m not even mad about last night.
Fisch was hired in the middle of January. Most coaches are hired by mid December so he started a month behind schedule.
There are still communication issues which I think are caused by the late hire.
The penalties like the one on Center and then the one Ass Party are fucking dumb player penalties.
The penalty on Davis is a coaching issue.
The dumbass who ran on the field? That was the worst of the penalties because it led directly to a Rutgers TD. If there’s a situation when you’d rather not block a FG, that was it.
Some of the play calling and clock management has me scratching my head. 1st and goal from the 7 and he calls run-run-pass-pass and I don’t think either pass was a play action call. 1st and 2nd downs were primed for play action after Coleman gashed them.
4th and 5 down 11 and attempts a FG when Gross already missed 1 and he’s at the far end of his range? On the 3rd down play, Jackson left a couple yards on the field but trying to juke a guy instead of just diving forward. I think had he gotten those extra 2 yards, Fisch goes for it. Regardless, it was a pussy move to go for the FG.
Oh well. We’re stuck with him for a couple seasons.
I disagree with this take. We look capable of being a good team, but the discipline, play calling, and personnel decisions are costing us, and that's on the coaches. Roster turnover should not affect these aspects to the degree it has.

who gives a fuck what fisch did last year
The days of building for the future are done. We'll have another 40% roster turnover off season and away we go.
College football sucks now, is what it is.
DeBoer didn’t even have to build a roster. Just portal in some elite talent at a few key spots and was off to the races.
