This team was always going to be a mess this year. I figured we’d end up between 6-6 and 8-4, which is still on the table. We’ll probably win some games we shouldn’t, and yesterday we lost one we shouldn’t have.
The season was always over, yesterday didn’t change that.
Fisch is Jew Sark until he isn’t, and Rogers is Brownsocks until he isn’t.
Everything that could have gone against us yesterday did. We didn’t get any breaks, we weren’t on the receiving end of any questionable flags, and we fucked ourselves with stupid decisions, lack of discipline, and shitty playcalling all day long.
Losers lose.

fucking losers.
Johnny football 2.0 isn’t bringing these homos to a shitty little rose bowl though.
Losers lose, water is wet. Fisch and co suck until proven otherwise.
who would have thought the visor guy disappears in the rain?
I felt like I saw the return of the Petersen offense. Where getting a fucking first down seems like a Sysiphusian task. Where we have a system that sets the controls to hard mode because we need a challenge. 3rd and short and we throw a bomb to the end zone. 2nd and 4 seems like it is automatic that we will be in 3rd and 4 or longer on the next play. Our coach is supposed to be a stoic disciplinarian with high expectations but we have a million dumb penalties. Later in the season we'll have the "7 dropped passes game" and at some point we'll have the "3 missed field goals game", the "QB just seems off" game, the "3 uncharacteristic fumbles" game. I know there are more I'm forgetting but we've seen this shit before.
The truth is we just dont have the horses on either lines, and we are weak at linebacker, with little resolve to our offensive issues… everyone knows to key on our running game because our lineman are WAC guys and our receivers are nothing special. This team has no depth, so wear us out and watch what happens is the name of that tune. I don't blame the coaches, they did the best they could do with a losing hand. Two years out is when we will know what we have for a coaching staff, if they are still here.

I don't think they did the best they could. They inherited a program that was in the national championship. If the best they could do on the line was getting a JC transfer who road the bench last year and a non-all conference Portland State guy, and couldn't convince a single lineman from their previous school to come with them, that's sad
I agree, but they really did come in to the picture after the fact [the primary window was closed to them] and the $$$ program is not set up and at best they were chasing rainbows at that point.
No excuse making, but obviously the timing was bad. They will have more runway in the portal this year.
Something that bothered me was Sark, uh I mean Fisch, pointing out the number of yards they gained as a sign that the offense did a good job. Even though they scored only one TD and lost the game. This is the kind of thing we've always accused the Cougs of doing
Detroit outgained Tampa by 247 yards, almost doubled them up on first downs, and lost at home.
Yeah, that bugged me too. The “yeah but still” mentality.
Fuck stats. Win games douchenugget.
Late, but the yardage thing is so stupid because it doesn't count special teams. One reason UW had more yards was they were incapable of keeping the Cuog from getting a return out to midfield every fucking kick.
"What we need is a seal here and a seal here and run it up the alley"
That's a hotdog down a hallway, folks, but he doesn't see it.
It wasn't a shit play call, it was shit execution, but it was a shit play call because it was shit execution. Clearly Rogers has no idea of how this concept needs to hit.
Also, just leak the fucking TE out here for a pitch and catch and boat home and fuck your wife. FFS.
Dillon Gabriels TD run on the same play was to the short side of the field, but he knew how to fucking run it(and his coach knew when to fucking call it).
If Rogers doesn't have a concept of how to execute it and doesn't have the physical attributes needed to effectively run the option, then by definition it is a shit call.
