What we saw was one of the most insanely idiotic play calls of all time. At no point in Fisch's rambling, incoherent play call was he even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in attendance is now dumber for having watched it. Rightfully so, my Dwags were awarded you no points, and may God have mercy on their souls.
I wish Fisch would have just owned last play call like he did Saturday today and moved on even if tape showed we boned it. No need to backtrack from what he said Saturday. Bigger issue I have is Will not having another play he could check out to as WSU had one more guy than we could block after the tight end which Rogers had to see,
Probably had nothing to do with anything, but after watching the documentary on the Michigan decoder, I’m paying attention to things like this more. That is, Fisch does a shitty job of covering his mouth when talking to the QB. A decent lip reader would have a field day.
The play wasn't blocked correctly. Running to the short side the unblocked player wasn't in the outermost position. Those are designed for the QB to just cut upfield. Because they left an interior player unblocked instead, now he has to keep running laterally with Coleman and they're fucked because they're out of room.
I didn't watch the Flyover Cup but I'm going to guess that Gabriel didn't pitched it and cut upfield exactly how that is designed when going short side.
I was going to say, I saw it again and it looks like the only chance the play has is if Rogers quickly cuts it up and it's not a guarantee then, especially because it's him. If it was a running QB yes. Faasolo doesn't hold his block long enough either.
The short field is so obvious too because Coleman has no chance following the play. The only wild option would be to plant and cut back, which I'm kind of surprised he doesn't try.

Well, that is a fucking relief. Fisch is maybe not the retard that he appeared to be.
Did the Seattle media follow that up with, "why did you call a play that you're team cannot execute properly?"
No, but Dick Baird drove down from Snoqualmie to tell the room that they’d probably have fired Don James after Year 3.
I also raked Softy across the coals in a text on KJR just now, Ian read it aloud to the listening audience.
I endure.
Fisch unleashing his inner Kelly
Was it a kick-ass presser?
Total horseshit if he really said that. WSU was sitting on a run to the short side.

I'm listening to it right now. It's about ten minutes in and I haven't heard him take any personal responsibility.

We?re so fuct… last year has absolutely fuckall to do with this year, he's deflecting because he knows him and his staff laid a turd in the AC. FML.
Fisch should've said he fucked up and move on and stop rehashing it.
Fisch, STFU.
i heard this as 'i want to bench rogers for williams but im too much of a bitch to do that.'

If we see Marlee on Northwestern's sideline, you heard it here first.
