It was awful for Pantera. Way too much kick drum and bass. Sucked for the first half of Metallica. I thought it got cleaned up some later on. It was also better sounding nearer to the stage inside of the massive stacks and closer to the smaller sets of speakers.
it sounded really distorted and cloudy for Pantera which sucked because I wanted to headbang. Yeah the first half of Metallica sounded that way but got better. I was really drunk so I was still into it though
I'm not a Pantera fan in that I don't own any of their music, but they have a few songs I like.
If anyone remembers much from The Chappelle Show, there was a skit where he had John Mayer join him and they go around to different places with John playing guitar to see how black people and white people react. They go to an office setting, a law firm or something like that, and Chappelle tells him to play the fight riff. All the white people immediately start breaking shit and stomping around like cavemen. That's kinda what it felt like watching Pantera play the other night. Pretty funny.
For me, I thought the set list for night 1 was better. Not sure about the sound really getting any better for the second show. On night 2, the instrumental, followed by The Unforgiven (which I don't really care for at all), followed by that 10 minute long dog of a song off of the new album really wiped out the energy of the show. Pretty skrong end with One and Enter Sandman, but still.

hope you kill ‘em all (the beers)
I did
Was on the floor and got to about 75 feet of the stage. Didn't want to get too close to the lunatics. Killer first night!
Seattle Times said the sound mix was off. True ?

Hopefully they have their reads down for tonight.

I saw Pantera open up for OG lineup Sabbath in Key Arena in the late 90s. They fucking sucked. But I don’t like that kind of metal.
Round 2 tonight. Hopefully the sound guys get their reads down. Maybe Conor Stalions can steal the signals from the fans

One on his greatest bits. Know it well.
Fans are doing The Wave. Start the set already!
Which one of you was this tonight?
Night 2 tops night 1 IMO
Sounds like they got their reads down
