Seems like a lot of the bottom of the roster veterans and Petersen guys are finally phasing out and the guys of the UDFA guys of past two years haven't stuck the way the Petersen guys did. Pretty shocking Wattenberg is Denver's starting center.
Kirkland in my hall of fame for "is this guy good or not" Huskies.
I'm confused by your post's narrative. Kirkland made the squad? 31 NFL players bad? Petersen? The fuck?
I don't really understand the point here but the NFL has a very high churn rate, short lifespans, and Petersen was our coach 5 years ago. He's also got some badass rookies entering the league. His last recruits.
Chris Petersen, hallowed be thy name. The guy was 10-20 years after his time. Ridiculous eye for talent. Would have been sav in a different era. Fairly sav in his own.
I think petermans earlier squad had a handful of studs but most were mid and he coached them up and they over performed as a squad. Then his later classes were the draft classes and the most recent years.
Deboner, and maybe more Grubb, only gets credit for penix.
DeBoer should have been able to get another usable running back in the portal. Talk Carson Steele out of going to UCLA for UW. Relying on Cam Davis, who has a career average of like 4 per carry wasn't good enough.
Petersen's early to late recruiting transition was a great example of a coach following through with being challenged to do more. From my memory there was pressure to take Pete's recruiting to the next level after his first success and he did. Add in that Puka and Latu and technically Haener and Yankoff were part of this too. I was actually getting bitter thinking Mason Graham and Colston Loveland really felt like guys who would played for Petersen had he been able to just not burn out. Probably have much better chances with JTT and Emeka too.

random thoughts with no clear direction or point.

Same.
That post was made while I was rewatching the PAC 12 championship again, watching Troy, Rome, and JMac eat.
Also, DJ should never be forgotten. Holy shit. A fucking Mike Leach recruit is one of the ultimate Husky legends.
You mean Twattenberg!
yeah, I was bummed to see him cut.
Without the injuries Johnson makes a roster. Fucking DeBoer

He used to have merch for sale through NIL - any idea if he would still get the cash for those sales?
So many favorite players from the 2023 team but he is the one I would buy stuff for since he will never get the recognition or cash he deserves.
