Safety should be wurth 4 points. Great defensive play is undervalued. If offenses that stall out can get 3 points when the kicker can put the pig through the uprights, the the rarer safety should be worth more. Since politics are so effed up these days, I contemplate running for office with this as my soul selling platform. Write me in whenever you vote.

The safety against Utah in 2023 after Tuputalas bonehead play was speshul
YES WE CAN!!1!!!
I say make it 3 points. Equivalent to a FG is an easier sell, though I'd prefer it be a weirder number like 4 or 5.
I like the idea of a safety being worth more than 2 points, but then you gotta remember that the team that gets the safety also gets the ball with what is also likely a shorter field than a regular kickoff.
As long as they get the ball close to midfield I agree. That way they're in position to punt inside the 5 and set up another safety.
why do you hate the 2010 Holiday bowl holding penalty safety?
I didn’t know if the Dawgs were back then, but that’s definitely what it’d look like
Good call. I forgot that one. That game was the Alameda Ta'amu/Hau'oli Jamora show.
