Peterman repeating the phrase "this is a process.." in every interview tells me

Doogs, of course, will have no patience because Steve left Pete with a "9-win team and a full copboard of great recruiting classes" but the more I hear Petersen repeat this, the more I think he knows we're fucked and this will be a rebuilding process. These kids have obviously not been well-coached and even though Sark's record was shitty, it was a favorable record considering how shitty his teams were. Close wins over shitty teams, multiple blowouts each year where the team had no business being on the same field as the opponents, close wins over really shitty teams, and 3 "Signature wins" (USC twice, and Stanford) that had huge asterisks next to them and could have easily gone the other way (No, I don't count the "god's play" win over a shitty Cal team as a signature win like Kim does).
I think Pete, a disciplined, old-school football coach, walked into this job the first day and thought "holy shit, what has been going on here?"

And I think that is what he was talking about when he has said on numerous occasions, paraphrasing: "Sometimes I just wonder, really? Do they not know how to do this? Really?"bananasnblondes said:that no one knows the damage Sark did to the program.

I would imagine a lot of it has to do with culture as well. I fully believe the inmates ran the asylum. Sark was merely there to glow in the sunlight of victory, while blaming the help for any losses or missed opportunity. We had a great week says Patron.
It's plainly obvious there were many transgressions happening at UW in teh locker room and throughout the team. It caused major issue when Peterman came into town and said this isn't how we win football games and go to BCS bowls or beat oregon. Undisciplined teams lose, all the time in big games.
Sadly, the doogest of doogs still can't get their head out of fets vagina to figure out the stank their smell is not only the holy trinity, but the whole dawg team. -
And there are some dumb fucks who publically wonder why Petersen needs to burn it down and start over. The house was full of toxic mold.
-
I actually think he's getting more buy in than it probably seems ... Peters doesn't really seem too interested in it for one. However, at the same time, when you see the performance of guys like Shaq, Shelton, and Kikaha to name a few, you find that the guys that have NFL futures and don't have their heads up their ass know that the team as a whole have underachieved, they've known that they aren't getting coached up and can see the difference, and as a result, are having monster years.
What you're seeing though is a team that hasn't paid attention to the little things for so long ... and it's not like you aren't going to all of a sudden master them overnight.
This really may be an example where we really didn't realize the extent of the damage of Sark ... or at the very least underappreciated it. The work that he is doing at tearing down SC in such short order is far greater than what I thought was possible - I had them at 9-3. -

I'm not saying Sark is Heisenberg so don't go twisting. If I had to relate him to anyone on that show, it would probably be Badger. -
On the other hand, process is the new 0-12/sanctions.
Win or get the fuck out. -
With this schedule, if this team ends up at 7-6 and in the Humanitarian Bowl or whatever, then it is a poor job by Petersen no matter how you slice it.

Yeah, I'm just out of patience and I have been for about 12 years. 4-1 is fine but there's no reason they should regress. He needs to lay down the law and I understand that, but I don't think this team is quite the horrible dumpster fire in terms of fundamentals as some make it out to be. That Stanford game is really stuck in our heads but will not be representative of the team come season's end.

I hope his process is better than the one Dan Hawkins used.

Either way it'll be interesting.

I would be willing to bet Petersen talked about the process at Boise State too. It's a certainty that he wonders what the fuck the players were doing under Sark, but I think some of you are misinterpreting what he means by the process. I don't think he's trying to lower expectations or using it as a way of saying he has to rebuild the program. Petersen always talks about striving to get better. From my viewpoint, that is what he means by the process.
-
I'm taking it that we're not going to see option-centric offense this season.

Peterton can talk about his process all he wants, but that process better fucking process itself into existence quickly.
