we are pour. Look at the transfer battles we lost for bagmen. I’d humor the idea that we? were saving the cash for HS kids but how many bag battles have we won against blue bloods? Two, three, maybe four.
We? are pour.
Partially true. We are poor because of the decade of loser football we had, the stadium, and our half share. All are fixable. We will never have Phil knight but will be able to spend enough to win big. Buying high school kids is retarded and not a good use of funds.
I wouldn't lose too much sleep over this one. The guy never appeared to really consider UW, even during the last two years run (huh?) and left the region to go to a high school program known for in recent history producing overrated prospects (except UW's 2025 QB commit).
Recruiting has always been a sketchy shitty game but up until a handful of years ago there was some logic to it. Most recruits seemed to get their offers, take some time, and then pick schools which usually made sense and there was a healthy amount of regionalism (which is one of the lifebloods of college football).
I don't know if this is a joke or you meant Joshua Garnett and not Sarell. I don't know though, maybe he'll be great, but he never really seemed to consider UW. The highly rated instate recruits certainly have been sucking for about half a decade now though so who knows?
Garnett never made an NFL impact but was all P12 his last two years. Banner started three years at USC and was on a roster with Pittsburgh. Lemieux and Throckmorton started at Oregon for three years. Ioane, Nabou and Connerly all start at P2 schools, all would look pretty good in purple and gold this year. McGary and Adam’s started for a final four team at tackle. Washington State struggles at QB for sure but seems to produce good three, four and five star offensive line prospects.
He wears transition lens, transferred to Mater Dei, and committed to Oregon. This kid is a nerd who craves attention and he sucks. BTP bust rating: 100%.
From my vague memory Garnett and Banner I think always wanted to leave for their schools but at least publicly gave UW a fair shake. I'll always maintain Garnett didn't do anything for 3 years at Stanford and then got a bit overrated his last year because McCaffrey had a huge season and Stanford's OL pedigree. Banner was decent at USC and got some years in the league.
Throckmorton I thought had an offer but wasn't a huge priority and don't know why they didn't recruit Lemieux.
Sarell I think will be remembered for being on the sidelines at the 2016 Stanford massacre and still going to Stanford.
Conerly seemed like he wanted to go to UW, then Michigan after UW fell apart (funny he would have have a shot at a natty either way last year). Seemed like he wanted to go to Michigan and his dad made him go to Oregon. Most Oregon fans tend to think he hasn't shown much yet and he looks like a guard.
Ioane îs already all Big 10 and fuck Deboer and Huff for not getting him back in.
McGary and Adams should have been higher rated recruits.

fuck the kids.
Took a bag pretty early I guess
fuck college football
I may need to stop following recruiting. This shit is getting retarded.
that makes us sound poor. Just need to get our bagmen in order and all else will line up.

So are you saying he'll be more like Zach Banner than Foster Sarrell?

I probably mixed up Garnett and Sarrell, but I remember a local OL not giving UW the time of day and then sucking somewhere
they all kind of did except DeCastro but he wanted to go here and Ty ignored him

Foster Sarrell is starting for the Chargers, two deeps at worst.
Just thought I'd add that. He's making it in this world.

So he’s not ELITE?
