It’s amazing to me that people think Sark and Lanning can win a big game. Neither one has proven they can do that yet, and there’s significant evidence to the contrary.

I would pick Texas to win it all before Oregon. There are several other teams I'd put ahead of Oregon, too.

Sark won a B12 title game and a road game at an Alabama team that won the SEC and made the final 4. Lanning on the other hand …

But it took Sark about 14 years to do that from when he first became a head coach

He was pacing himself.

He’s got access to large and unusual humans in Texas that he didn’t have on the west coast and unlimited recourses and zero NCAA rules in the way to acquire them. That helps. Whether it’s taken him 14 years to do it or not, he’s won some big, important games now. Lanning still can’t say that. Don’t get me wrong, I think Sark is a net negative to winning a title but the idea that Sark and Lanning are equal at this point in their careers is where I disagree.

I would take Lanning year 3 over Sark year 3. I'd take Lanning over Sark right now.
