    Sargarin has Arizona at #31.

Cal is at #43 and we are at #46, same record but his models say Cal has had the harder schedule so far.

For once, Sagarin is right...unless there are any Pac-12 teams in the top 30.
    3 in the top 15

Oklahoma is #2, TCU is #7.

    Stopped reading there.
Anybody that objectively watched the Oklahoma - TCU game yesterday would not be saying that Oklahoma is the better team.

What exactly has Ole Miss done that Arizona hasn't? I'd argue beating Oregon at Autzen is at least as impressive as beating Bama at Vaught Hemingway. Ole Miss is #3 Arizona is 10. If anything Arizona is probably underranked if we're just ranking based off of a team's profile to this poont.

It worries me that Cal was raping them until the 4th quarter.

This doog defense better eat their wheaties this week.

    Seriously?

Let's for a second say that beating Alabama is the equivalent of winning at Autzen (which given that Oregon's OL is so terrible right now that they're starting 8-4 or 9-3 right in the face), Ole Miss also destroyed Boise and basically everybody else that they played.

On the other hand, Arizona played one score games against world beaters UT-San Antonio and Nevada while also needing a 36 point 4th quarter to beat Cal.

Yep ... similar profiles and resumes.

Sagarin usually takes until October to have his rankings start to make sense. In this context being a slight underdawg to Kal (on the road) is expected. Anyone have any info on Peterman's record after bye weeks?

Because SEC. Don't you get it? SEC = 5 spots. I'm not being sarcastic (but in no way do I agree)

Fun fact: My school's final game was a 55-32 victory. The opponent's quarterback in that plungering was Mark Helfrich.

Speaking of Helfrich, which one of you edited the first paragraph of his wiki page?

In case anyone else needed proof that CFB is a dumpster fire this year.

Looking at the Arizona schedule and 9-3 8-5 seems about right for Arizona.

There will be at least 2 games that we should win but we'll lose because our team completely fucking forgets to show up. Cook it.

I don't include bowl game win/losses into projections because we all know that it's always special when you get to play in December (or heaven forbid January) win or lose.

That ranking is such a joke. I would be embarrassed if I was an Cat fan because they know they are not going to live up to it, at all.

I wish my team could beat Oregon.
Does your team even play oregon?
My team stopped playing football so that Oregon could become a football powerhouse.

Will your team go back to playing Oregon now that the tater gobbler is head coach?

It is the biggest jump ever for an unranked team since the AP poll went to 25 teams in 1989.

That being said- they are 3/3.5 point underdogs at home to USC this week.

They are underdogs? That is easy money. USC will never stop them.
Has Sark suddenly gotten better at road games?
No, that was my point. Arizona will probably plunger them. I can't believe USC is favored.

Whoever created the spread on that game knows nothing about football.

Right now my Hustlin' Owls might be able to beat the Ducks.

How were the Hustlin' Owl cheerleaders?

The 8th win was the bowl game. We lost to fucking WSU last year. I'll believe AZ is a top 10 team when we've got the fucking Rose Bowl invite clinched and not a second before it.
You likely aren't a top 10 team, but the future is bright with Solomon. Will Arizona ever have a good defense? Arizona did have some shaky wins in non conference and needed a great comeback to beat Cal.

Didn't they lose to Penn State by 100 right after that? I should know this because I went there, but I literally didn't/don't care about anything Wildcat related, except basketball.

    fucking frontrunning piece of shit.

you like Oregon football (likely because you're from there), and only support the AZ basketball team because they're traditionally good?

let me guess, you've also been a Pats fan until you converted to the Seahawks last season?

I like Oregon football because we've had season tickets there since 1990. I'm not sure what we did for the first three years because football hadn't been invented yet. I'm a UA alumnus, so I kind of have to follow at least something of theirs and round ball is all anyone cares about.

As for the NFL I'm a Raiders fan. So yeah, not much joy there. Young Carr looks to have some promise though!
