To be fair, Demond was in the spring semester of his high school senior year. A review of D-Dub from the Army All-American game when he was playing against other high school guys:
"Demond Williams shined during the All American game and used his legs to collect
multiple first downs and create time for him to make big time throws
down the field. Early on in the week it took Williams some time to get
used to his receiving corps. But he progressed throughout the week and
showed that he could deliver accurate passes at every level of the field
with timing and pace. He was one of the more complete quarterback
prospects at the event and it showed on Saturday afternoon."
He's the type of QB that a lot of us have wished for at various points. We've had a couple of QBs who seemed to have the tools to play 1 vs 11, Locker for example, but they didn't have this guy's all around skill. I wish he was 4 inches taller but that requirement has been flushed in recent years. Short and fast with a big arm works.
I think we can get lucky again by building a good roster with high school recruits and then hitting on a key dude like Penix. Guys like him are out there sometimes and obviously can by had by UW.
Or grow a big swinging dick and start purchasing guys like the schools with swinging dicks do. Either way.
U of Eh got bombed like 70-7 at home in the Territorial Cup in the plandemic year. Sumlin gutted the program. Three years later: 10-3 and beat Jokelahoma in the Alamo Bowl.

Jayden Daniels will be a NFL bust but was great for college
if UW doesn’t figure a way to be a major portal player, title contending teams aren’t in the future.

Both ways.
Just fucking win.

I think he'll do alright.
