There was so much loaded onto this season besides the fact that it was a legit title run. It's definitely a good idea to take a break and not immediately jump into the absolute Lemon Party that is modern recruiting/X.
And I think DeBoer endured himself to the average fan a lot more than Fisch and his salesy kind of personality. So some burnout was to be expected.
Question for the pod: how LIT was that Pac 2 Media Days in Vegas?
Do you think that Butch T Cougar and whatever the fuck they call the beavlet stood outside of Allegiant Stadium with cardboard signs to try and get into the Big 12's media day?
Unless I missed it y'all only did the first 4 games. My message was sarcasm on how that idea just died. I absolutely think it would be worth it to finish that off. That was a once a quarter century team, at least until proven otherwise.
I'm still more mad at Deboer leaving for Bama the way he did because it prevented us from celebrating all that the team did accomplish. The Sugar Bowl to the hiring of Fisch was like 5 entire offseasons crammed into 2.5 weeks. I get that the CFB calendar is the real culprit but we never recognized those dudes appropriately.
how bout an in depth discussion on how we? can help our mighty Dawgs going forward w/ Montlake Futures… I’m curious if the title run from last year will boost donations. Or have any sway at all. I’m not talking the whales here, just the average Joes like me and you.
I don't know man I am kind of burnt out on the NIL bullshit from all offseason. College football becoming basically a fucking venture capital operation is not what I'm interested in. Makes me wish I was just a fucking 12. I'd rather spank bank on last season.
I'm not even mad at DeBoer anymore and am letting myself just accept we'll never know if what and how it went don't affected the game against Michigan or not. I'm almost more mad at Petersen for bitching out and never being able to hire a dynamic OC, let him cook, and be the QB guru.
I think that’s the discussion.. I’d like to think UW has the fan base to compete financially w/ the other heavy hitters, but will they? I’m guilty, not buying season tix anymore, buying merch, NIL etc.. But that was one hell of a ride last year and fun. Didn’t mind spending the coin to enjoy it.
There's nothing more soulless than the Seahawks and all their pretend rivalries and their dumb stadium in a dumb league. As lame as the cfb offseason has gotten, the NFL is just a bad product unless you're into gambling/fantasy.
Seahawks are gay but I find myself following them more this offseason than possibly ever. Probably a mix between the Grubb/Huff/new coach thing and UW’s post DeBoer hangover.
yeah I have no actual interest in being a generic regional NFL fan. Getting into the prime Super Bowl run teams was legit fun and those teams had character. Now the NFL is more fun as a casual fan who isn’t living or dying with one team.
beyond the NIL begging for money bullshit the loss of strong regionalism in college football has been stupid. Programs like Bama, Georgia and Ohio State now constantly having cornerstone players from out west is pointless as is a school like Oregon having almost zero players on their entire roster from their state. And yes I’m aware UW is damn near heading in that direction too
Being around Oregon fans and Portland for so long, including during the Chip years, if anything was going to kill my love for college football it would have happened already.

are we going to touch on the weeks hot topic of buttholes?
the season in review was amazing TBH
Really? I think we killed it because of lack of enthusiasm. I'm getting pretty depressed how little reflection there has been on the season.
I'd like Stalin to offer a moment of on-air reflection on a comment given today by his former boss.
"Jen is arguably the best AD UW has ever had. Some will say Mike Lude. I wasn't a big fan. He had DJ." -Kim Grinolds
That is what finally got me banned from their site. Telling those morons that Jen was in way over her head.

Is it true that we’re delivering a cake to Ballmer’s house?🏠🎂

I am trying to get into the new era. It’s hard. But I’m getting there. My kid being ALL IN is helping somewhat as I have to argue against PSU.
But the new era is here and she’s fully in on it. She will be attending B1G media days in 2 weeks. So I will keep caring and our Dwags better perform.

That being said there are new problems.
