  Things I hate about this update:

  • Empty space at the top of each screen. Just a big white square.

  • Handle name font is smaller than message font. Should be other way around.

  • Logo is tiny.

  • Badges are in an awkward position.

  • Unnecessary space between the top and bottom row of reaction choices.

  • Avatars are circular, cutting off a good portion of the image.

  • Post count and time of post are not aligned or spaced evenly.

  This is all with my mobile access, btw. I will be optimistic and hope this is either a test rollout and/or that they will make improvements to it.

  Friday afternoon update:

  Finished
  

  • Tweaked the Rank label (golden football) so it's more centered on the username.
  • Adjusted padding on page so there is less empty space at the top
  • Adjusted padding between reaction buttons and post

   
  Could you send me the original image file for the Hardcore Husky logo and banners? The copies that Vanilla has saved are smaller than they should be. If I have the original copies, it won't be hard to make it look sharper. 
   
  Regarding the logo (top-left of the page), what size would you want that to be at? Also, is there another image you'd like to use there? When copying from the previous theme, it looked like you were just using another copy of the banner image. Personally, I think the size of the logo is fine, but replacing it with an actual logo image (an "HH" or just the mascot's head) may be the way to go. 
   
  Things I'm working On: 
  

  • Adjusting font size - make usernames larger than text in comments/discussions.
  • Removing circular frame on avatars
  • Post Count and Post Date Alignment - this looks to be a mobile specific issue related to the size of the rank label (golden football)

  If by late July there is an overwhelming consensus of not liking it, then we can always go back to what it was yesterday. I'm going to take advantage of the off-season here to see what they come up with.

  Trash data. It's test, so people don't take it seriously. Doesn't test scale in some cases. Test environments getting more and more rare.

  Saying you have a large customer that has been waiting for something for months with a deadline and that you never told anyone until now is a reason to skip all testing.

  this is my biggest beef. Having no clue what fuck stick one is saying to fuck stick two makes me read much less here.
