Yeah I was going to say 2018 and 19 Cal. Guessing Wilcox and Evan Weaver factor. Those teams felt like they were playing their entire season in one game.
Coug always is pretty greased up for Washington, so they all kinda blur together.
But '92 Arizona to go from losing 54-0 in 1991 in Husky Stadium to winning 16-3 in Tucson and ending the win streak has to be the most greased up squad we've faced.
2018 Cal was just shit Petersen laying a turd game and 2019 was God smiting Washington.
I don't know. We sit right behind the opposing sideline and it certainly felt like Montana was kind of just going through the motions then in the 4th quarter I think they got a pick and you could see the light come on for them like Oh Shit, We Can Win This Game.
FWIW, I knew a Woodinville player who played a lot of minutes in that game. He said they were talking at halftime that the game was there for the taking.
92 Arizona was the most depressing game of the early years of me being a husky. There was a sober realization that UW was good but not exceptional anymore. Other coaches and teams were catching up and could even out-UW the Huskies as Arizona had on this day.
This question would take a pretty long time to answer objectively as there are a ton of candidates to consider. There was a game at Cal where they ran for something like 500 yards against Ty. Pretty greasy. Similarly Stanford put the smack down on UW one year, I think against Sark, to the tune of a 50ish point win.
One of the unfortunate things for UW was no matter what Oregon is always massively greased for UW other than like 2016-17 where they probably wanted to bottom out and fire coaches anyway. Oregon was better than UW each of the 12 other than maybe the last one but they were never going to even remotely overlook a UW team.

Look at the money Wilcox made himself off of a couple of greased up wins over Washington and a COVID win over Oregon?
the 92 apple cup was a pretty greased up coug.

Tucson
Same difference. It's all shithole desert where mankind has no business settling.
Montana

2023 Beav
I would say the 12 year reign of the Ducks - we were bent over grabbing our ankles so maybe not that greasy after all
82 coogs
85 beavs
87 ducks
That 92 team was on 22? straight wins and had just destroyed 10 win Stanford. UW was 4-8 in 2021.
'80 Oregon.

My definition of greased up though is a team that comes in lit up and doesn't quit. Get it right.
I was there
'98 Arizona

Which makes Penix 3-0 all the more remarkable.
Dude had the kryptonite for Oregon grease.
