Texan citizens having the right to detain, arrest, and expel. How do we feel about this idea? It seems popular, but we should think about it.
-
"Think about it"?
Only if you are an idiot who doesn't believe in the United States and its Constitution. Are you that ignorant?States have rights precisely because our founders knew that assholes like biden and BO would utilize the fed to corrupt our country. That idiot biden has opened our borders and the overwhelming majority are against it. TX now has the power to stop the corruption and tyranny.
"Think about it". What a bunch of ignorant bullchit.

When the federal government has decided to do nothing and actually encourage illegal crossings, don't blame the vigilantes when they decide to act.
-
I haven’t read the bill. Do you mean to say that TX residents have the right to effect deportation as some sort of citizens arrest measure?
-
The federal government is flying in hundreds of thousands of them from their countries of origin! They are actually the mule for many of these illegals! With out tax money!
BidenBros/Commie Crew cheer.
-
Sorry I don't get in the weeds on things like that.

I was curious what response that would generate from our resident soldiers of fortune. Bend sorta took it where I wanted. The tweet made the impression that it was vigilante shit. "Texans". SB4 ain't that. It's state and local enforcement of federal immigration law, in theory. Some people might get the wrong impression though. Not here, just in general. We don't want that.
-
We wouldn’t want people to get the wrong impression.
-
Ok cool
So, anyways….
-
Thanks for the dissertation, Plato.
-
Can't be having that.
-
Maybe not Plato, but BW would agree that everyone at the border should ride bikes, smoke buds, and collaborate around our awesome and great desert landscapes. They're incredible. The magnificent Rio Grande Valley, wow. Throw it down. The great Sonoran Desert, Anza Borrego, the mighty Joshua tree, the transcendent Saguaro, wow, throw it down one more time for the Sedona sunrise and twilight.
-
It didn't say that anywhere. Why would you assume? You know what assume means.
-
The magabot tweet said "Texans" and I half-heartedly baited the Cliven/Ammon Bundys of this forum. It didn't work that great, it wasn't the best, but let me cook. You know the type, I know the type.
-
I'm having trouble reading you J. Who are you? You're the funniest motherfucker on this entire forum but you're also a conservative gay rolling stone living on a swamp boat in the Everglades with a cat? Wherever you lay your hat is your home? Am I getting my stories mixed up? I have nothing against you being a gay conservative cat-loving swamp boat captain roaming the Everglades. I would actually support it and can see the appeal. Teach me.
Side note: Who are OBK, Dazzler, and Piss Boy? Too many inside jokes and not enough glossaries. Story of my goddamn life.
-
It did not. It was an abbreviation, Txs, a poor one but I never thought it meant "Texas citizens". Texas law enforcement yep. But since citizen arrests are quite real I imagine Texans certainly could do that since it is a crime.
-
Overall point: it's real slippery slope that hearkens back to some dark times in this cuntry, private citizens and local/state law enforcement included. SB4 got blocked immediately by the 5th Circuit. Why?
-
Nobody wants vigilante justice
Some of us think the United States shouldn't be the only country in the world with open borders
The feds did it. Dark times today in Texas thanks to the invasion
Martha's Vinyard rode a couple dozen out of town on a rail a day after they showed up
I'm sure you never heard that either
-
Supremes actually said they will let the lower court stand and won't hear the case until it goes through lower courts. I wish on truly important stuff the supremes would jump faster. National security is important. But they don't do it even for constitutional rights. The left passes laws they know are unconstitutional but enforce them for many years while the challenges wind through the court. Common gun control commie tactic.
-
I recall the National Guard being called to Martha’s to scoot out the brown people.

It's okay when they live 20 miles away.
It's not when they live on our island.
