The lack of results when rats are in charge is amazing. Remember BO's big scam? The only thing I saw that came from that was roadside signs saying something was paid for with shovel ready jobs. I can't imagine taking family leave when you were part of a Presidents cabinet. The fact this ass hat did means he had no business being in leadership to begin with not to mention the fact that he is part of the most unqualified cabinet in the history of the country.
I don’t even believe the number of “7 or 8” that are completed. I think those that are being made.
Why do we even pay federal taxes when the government just prints new money to pay off donors, anyhow? State and local taxes I can see since states can’t just print their own money … yet.

We mobilized and won World War II in less than four years. Think about that. Today it takes more than four years to get a nuclear electric plant permit, if ever issued.
The first seven or eight are the hardest. The next 499,992 are a breeze.
Unmanned charging stations are just an invitation for vandalism and copper theft or a car jacking opportunity. Just like public transportation, the failure to deter criminal behavior just makes the law abiding citizen avoid it like the plague.
The answer to your second question is that without taxes and the implied threat of force for not paying them, you would be much harder to control.
