Is there more video here that I’m unaware of existing? This just seems like a DA harassing a rich, white golfer to appease their idiotic voting base who thinks this somehow connects to drug mule Breonna Taylor and her illegally-armed drug-dealing boyfriend. They eventually dropped charges against the boyfriend even after it’s a known fact he fired on police officers.
Just more lawfare from the Left. Go fuck yourselves, Tugtards.
??? How hard is it on a high profile case to have the proper supervisor order the day's recording from the officer's webcam downloaded to a viewable file?
No one wants to see recording of officers taking a shit, piss, talking on the phone and a zillion other things that are not needed. They have a few rights left. But not many.
All cops understand this. But like I said shit happens fast and unexpectedly at times and there isn't time to turn one on. We wents through audio recorders and then car cams, then body cams. But there also need to be rules about when they get looked at to protect officers. Some admin people just want to sit and surf the recordings and file complaints. That was against the rules at our place. Didn't mean some did it anyway. If I was in charge of them I'd btch slap 'em. Administratively. I'd rather actually just bitch slap them for real. That's the probem with todays society. If you're a dick people wouldn't allow it and they'd kick your ass for the shit you pulled. That's why we are no longer a polite nation…
What's your issue with them going through film? If you are following proper procedures, it shouldn't be an issue, right? As to on and off, obviously if you are on break it should be off, but the second you are on duty it should be turned back on.
A cop at work is never off duty. In fact they're required to act off duty if the situation is serious enough. You think everyone should be privy to every minute of a cops day? You want to listen to them take a shit, talk to coworkers, chat with their wife on the phone, talk to their supervisor etc. etc. etc. Every minute of that tape is available via freedom of information act. So no. Not gonna happen nor should it.
Yes it should... for the simple fact that you can ruin someones life. You are legally allowed to kill someone... and the Oops I forgot to put my camera on doesn’t cut it... in my train there is a camera on me 24.7... I may not like it, but it helps protect the public. That camera can be audited any time they feel like it.
There is no Oops I forgot to have it on this inopportune time...
Unfortunately there have been enough bad police interactions in this country it has come to this.
Yes if someone is talking to a wife or taking a dump it can be turned off, but then must immediately be turned back on... tedious of course, but it's come to that with law enforcement in this country.
Good luck. Big difference. By the way everyone is allowed to legally kill someone. Everyone. So wear your camera at all times and record everything. Let me review your film.

If nothing happens at the end of the month it should be deleted.... problem solved... as to batteries, they make replacements....
I have no issue with not viewing it unless a complaint happens.
Shouldn't be hard.... if it is, I question Why they have it set up that way.

Thats a fair point- One that I wasn't thinking of. But any interaction with a citizen/other cops need to be recorded.
Again- this is mainly for the protection of the cop. I can provide ten videos in a heartbeat where they all exonerate the officer.
cop looks

@Sledog What years were you police?

Nice straw man.... sorry, the police have earned this through their actions.
Get your camera. After all you might commit a crime.
I have one on me 247 in my job... sorry, you don't like it, but unfortunately the police have lost respect in many communities…
Truthfully, this should help you as it would clear up any situation and would mainly exonerate them.
Fern, you're allowed to defend yourself. This is America. Wear your camera!
I love photography, but you just say things really funny.
