this may truly be the beginning of the end. Are athletic programs going to file for bankruptcy? After they’ve been infused with 50M via a loan, still can’t win, can’t increase revenue, can’t meet the operating budget and pay back the loan… fucked.
Then this will only be available to a limited number of programs…
fucking genius but this feels like the nail in the coffin.

FSU is one of if not the most desperate program in cfb with their lifetime contract to Norvell and inability to get out from the death sentence ACC deal.
Still a better deal than Cal's stadium financing
Oregon football had like $80,000,000 in revenue and the athletic department as a whole had $2,000,000. Gotta win another cross country natty tho! The whole thing is fucked and always has been.
When the US dollar begins to crumble things could get dicey

Maybe I'm pessimistic or chicken little but I feel like the Pac-12 TV situation is eventually coming to a lot of sports and is going to be a problem. Everyone is operating like there is never not going to be more and more growth and eventually there should be a ceiling, especially for sports like football which seem like they have global limitations. I see contracts like the one Kirk Cousins got and some of the recent extensions in the NFL and it seems insane.
Also I wonder if the three big Florida schools struggle not canibalizing each other. Even with all that talent there it seems hard to have enough top end to go around for them, the other SEC schools who dip in and now with schools like Ohio State coming in more and more.
I also feel like Miami has a borderline Penn State thing where once they had to join a conference which makes them play more than 1-2 real games a year they've struggled to be elite.
I can't seem to find it!
Reminds me of the housing market before 2007-2008. I once heard someone say their real estate agent advised them to buy the most expensive house possible since housing prices were only going to continue to increase.
Was the agent Kim? I mean, the owner probably wanted it sold.
Probably. Thats the kind of dumb advice that alcoholic midget would give.
Reminds me that I once had a Dawgman login as DARE (Disheveled Alcoholic Real Estate) Dawg
