Made me realize it was awesome we didn't have a single Friday game last year other than the championship game. I feel like we were playing 1-3 of them anyway in the Pac so it is what it is. I don't mind them for away games but feel like they suck ass for home games, especially living so far away from Seattle .
Meh, it’s one day less after a home game. Anyone under 40 who complains about a five hour flight and claims it kept them from performing well is an excuse-seeking fucktard. Especially in the first half of the season.
Pretty sure I am the bored's Penn State/State College Superiority guy. SCE cannot handle a 737 to the west coast as the runway is too short. So you either stop on the way back or you fly to Harrisburg which is a 90 minute drive.
In 91 when PSU played at USC they flew out of MDT. PSU's trips to the Rose Bowl in recent years have all been charted widebodies out of MDT.
With the need to transport equipment back on a short week we're looking at multiple flights out of SCE which have to stop somewhere with a longer runway and refuel, or a widebody charter out of MDT.

Thanks HuskyJW!
our? Sparty game got moved to a Friday as well.
wonder how much Babushka milked it for that spot. he'll be extra nipply that night.

11pm eastern.
Scott Wolf's wet dream - USC football falling so far off that their kickoffs get missed for a baseball game.
My Boilermakers are tuff at home on a Friday night
Note that the two PNW paupers get stuck with two Friday games. One for the rest on the list. None for tOSU, Michigan, Pedo State, etc.
Sucks to get a short week for an east coast road trip
So now we get UCLA after a cross-country road trip (Penn State) while UCLA doesn't even have a short week because they play on the Friday before.
And Rutgers is obviously a cross-country road trip now on a short week.
Super.
Yeah but an extra day to prepare for Michigan.
at least the start times aren’t at 7:30 PT

UW has to beat Rutgers. That’s non-negotiable.
9 am crisp fall days in Piss Scat Away New Jersey.
The only thing more DAWG football than that is an away game at Walla Walla high school, or home against the USS Cumstain
poont of order on that pedo trip, extra shitty logistics trip with a loooong trip to an actual airport.
@Logistics - would welcome any insight here, thx.
How is SCE? AA flies into it and it's 8 minutes from Beaver Stadium

The Athletic had a whole article on this from the PSU perspective: https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/4696457/2023/07/20/penn-state-usc-ucla-big-ten/

Looks like hotels are cheap there, too. $700/night for a Holiday Inn. $1239/night for a Hampton Inn.
