This is actually pretty good. I don't know much about the genre. The girls are wood level. Some of the morals of the day on display vis a vis drinking, smoking, infidelity.

The interesting part is picking up a lot of often subtle words/actions that became off-limits once the "code" became enforced. It wasn't until I believe the 60s or so that the rating system made movies more realistic.
