Dems will never legislate on this issue. Fear-mongering over abortion bans is basically the only issue they have at this point.
Oregon, Washington and Cali have legislated on this issue. All support late term abortions.

I'll agree the dems avoided a national ban when they had Congress because they had Roe which was a national ban on banning abortion. If the dems win in 2024 (Congress and the Presidency) there will be at least a Euro style abortion national abortion program if not a packing of the Supreme Court and a repeal of the Dobbs decision.
I don't think the Dems will ever legislate abortion on the national level. It's gotta be their number one fundraising issue and how they scare single women into voting for them.
