I'm waiting for one of those rich baller dudes to disrupt Hollywood and start a studio that actually wants to make great movies. I'm sure the scripts are out there. Passed over for remakes and superhero bullshit. The state of cinema in this country is a complete joke.
Who the hell wanted this? I'm not gonna bitch about making more movies for franchises like Star Wars and Batman and shit. I also am for remaking properties that hadn't been done right like Dune. I don't know who this is for though. I also don't know why certain properties are still getting like $200 million movies made. Do people really need more Planet of the Apes or King Kong or Godzilla movies?
It's also annoying that the blockbuster movie format was built on original concept movies (sometimes based on books) done well not shitty comic book stuff. Jaws, Star Wars, Aliens, Terminator, Jurassic Park, ET. Stuff like Star Wars and Batman movies were also taking shitty comic book type stuff and making it slower and better.
This right here. It makes zero sense that a dude opens a kickass bar in BFE Missouri that pulls in 500 people a night. As long as you don’t think about that too much, it’s entertaining.

Hollywood is so creative that all they can do is remakes and prequels to decades old material
Maybe AI will save entertainment and create some new scripts. Probably not, though, since AI info is based off of already created content.

I blame @Pitchfork51 !!
hey hey now, I’ve watched all 11 planet of the apes movies and eagerly await the new release… this is genius cult movie shit so maybe
The Throbber is probably one of the few people who've never seen the original Roadhouse.
Me neither. I originally thought it was a shitty 80's spinoff of the National Lampoons family. Apparently it's even worse than that.
It's pure entertainment

I liked the most recent ones. Very good, but does it really need to continue?
