I thought Odunze was a much high-rated recruit than that but maybe I confused his rating with McMillan. I'd add him to the list of guys who I look back and wonder how they weren't much higher-rated (Lockner, Rapp, McDuffie). This story also shows the importance of going to war in recruiting and beating big boys for recruits instead of hoping to develop everyone. I'm thinking McMillan's grandpa being a huge Husky fan might have been the reason they got him.
If I remember correctly Gee jr. was kind of a poor man's Kasen - just a guy way bigger than everyone who caught jump balls who for some reason skyrocketed up the ranking boards?
He was an underwear olympics superstar. His test numbers at the Nike camps were through the roof. Elite, if you will. Much better than his actual football game highlights.
